Pray for the Republic and Obama Day 225-229

2Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.

3I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.

4The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.

5They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.

6Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

8And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.

9Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

10For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

11And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

Father God, I watch for Your Son day and night but He doesn't come. I watch as millions of Christians have through the centuries, and I wait. Satan whispers he isn't coming, that You aren't going to judge, and I know him to be a liar. He knows his time is short, and so he persecutes Your children with thoughts and deeds that are not our own. Shield our minds from Satan's attacks. Shield them from depression and confusion which he causes. Shield them from the deceptiveness of this worlds devices. And keep him from harming any of Your children.

We hate him, Lord, that hates You. He who exalted himself now plays with men as puppets and convinces them that they are exalted above You as well. What fools. What sad pathetic fools. Don't they know that though You are longsuffering with this world, there is a payday someday? Don't they realize they are playing with fire? Lord, I pray for those in our government and country who are not of a seared conscience, that they may have their eyes opened and perchance repent of the evil which they have done. For those who are of a reprobate mind, I pray that You will minimize the damage they will do. And I pray for Your Son's soon return.

It is not that I think we deserve to escape the evil which is coming on the earth, or to be spared persecution. Should Christ's return be later rather than sooner, we will assuredly go through that for He Himself told us we would. But, we hate seeing what is happening to America. To Israel. To the world.

The would-be dictators of the world are all conspiring in open Lord. It is no longer a secret. The words "global governance" slide off of their lips like butter and you can just sense their coveteousness and greed for power. Sarkozy. Obama. Berlusconi. And, even the Pope himself are stepping in and calling for a world government. Several of them would like to rule it. It saddens us Lord, yet, we know it ultimately will be so.

Then there is Israel. Force her to give up part of Jerusalem? They might as well force her to cut out part of her heart. We have no right to do this Lord, and I denounce what our government is doing here ... yet, it is all in the plan. So, I pray for the peace of Jerusalem. I pray for Israel and those who love her. I pray for the defeat of her enemies. I pray for Your power to rest upon her so that she will once again be Your people and You her God.

Go with us, Father. The times are scary. We need You with us. And may we please You with our lives both internally and outwardly.

It's in Jesus' blessed name that I ask these things, Amen.

Lord God of hosts, Heavenly Father Who sitteth in the heavens and looketh down upon the work of Thy hands,

Have mercy upon the people of Honduras and their fledgling government. They are not perfect but many of Thy people are there, those who love and trust in Thee. Protect them from the cacophonous taunts of evil, of thine enemies who say "Who is the Lord?" Prepare for this small people a table in the presence of their enemies, who are all around them. Let it be seen by the entire world that this is Thy doing, that Thou are stronger than the OAS, stronger than the United Nations, and putteth to shame all knowledge that does not begin with the fear of the Lord.

Hear my prayer, who am but an unworthy sinner, not for my sake, nor theirs, but for the sake of the supreme Paraclete, even Jesus Thy Son, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Amen.

Proverbs 29:25-26

Father, fill us with strength and courage. We declare our trust in You. Your precious Word says that You will redeem those who humble themselves before you. Lord, I will not be moved by my circumstance, but instead will look to You as my Salvation. You alone are our source, and You alone can deliver us from the point of hopelessness and despair.

Father, I ask that You reveal Yourself to those in our government who do not see You as an unlimited source. Put them on the path to receive blessing instead of tossing it away. Have mercy upon us, Lord, and deliver us from the pestilence. In Christ's name I pray, amen.
