I believe that Israel must remain in unbelief for now, in order the meet biblical qualifications.
But Israel has been in unbelief for 2000 years. They have forsaken the covenant of God. They have rejected the faith of Abraham. They have been cast off from corporate blessing.
This has nothing to do with the plot of ground in the Middle East that politicians have labeled "Israel". It has everything to do with faith and repentance, both of which are necessary for the true Israel to experience the blessing and restoration of God. Futurists dont get it, since they seem to be more excited about a date (1948) than about the true condition of the people.
Modern Israel is not biblical Israel. Most futurists don't get it.
