If you preach a different Jesus and a different salvation, then people will go to Hell instead of embracing the real Jesus and the real salvation.

The there's an awful lotta people going to hell, given that the Catholics, the Methodists, the Lutherans, the Presbyterians, the Baptists, the Pentacostals, the Jehovah's Witnesses, ad nauseum, ALL preach different salvations.

To say nothing of course of the Buddhists, the Hindus and the Moslems ! Or....shudder....the Mormons.

Who'd a thunk it ? Only ONE of those groups going to heaven, the rest to hell.

Um, not to burst your bubble, but the historic apostolic faiths, Catholic as well as protestants such as the Methodist, Baptist, Episcopalians and others of that linage believe in the exact same path to salvation.

Tonight I join my brothers and sisters of these very faiths as we break bread together and prepare to share the message with others in a few weeks.

Sorry that the divisions are not as wide as you would wish.

As far as the other faiths (your Buddhist, Hindus, Muslims, Mormons and others) well someone has to be right, otherwise what would be the point. Just because the touchy feely Oprah version of modern faith (one with may “Christian” members in it) says there are many paths, there is really only one.

Given the power of the truth I am glad to be on the right side of things.

That statement is not true. The only group in that list preaching a different salvation is Jehovah's witnesses. They have a Jesus + membership in Jehovah Witnesses + works salvation. The rest just have Jesus only salvation and are acknowledged by each other as being Christian.

To say nothing of course of the Buddhists, the Hindus and the Moslems ! Or....shudder....the Mormons.

The Buddhists, Hindus, Moslems have rejected God's only plan of salvation. They are trying to earn their way to heaven and when they stand before a perfect Holy judge, they will be found wanting. Sadly, they will indeed go to Hell.

The Mormons identify themselves as Christian. But they have changed the nature of God and the nature of salvation. The change is so severe that most Christian denominations have issued declarations that Mormonism is outside the fold of Christianity. Only God can decide if their distorted faith in Jesus is acceptable. But scripture clearly says that Jesus is the only way. And scripture warns against those preaching a different Jesus.

5 I saw Father Adam and Abraham; and my father and my mother; my brother Alvin, that has long since slept;
6 And marveled how it was that he had obtained an inheritance in that kingdom, seeing that he had departed this life before the Lord had set his hand to gather Israel the second time, and had not been baptized for the remission of sins.
7 Thus came the voice of the Lord unto me, saying: All who have died without a knowledge of this gospel, who would have received it if they had been permitted to tarry, shall be heirs of the celestial kingdom of God;
8 Also all that shall die henceforth without a knowledge of it, who would have received it with all their hearts, shall be heirs of that kingdom;
9 For I, the Lord, will judge all men according to their works, according to the desire of their hearts.
10 And I also beheld that all children who die before they arrive at the years of accountability are saved in the celestial kingdom of heaven.

It’s a terrible discredit to label LDS with the ole “Believe as we or go to hell” stigma when it is we (rather Christ) who are the ONLY ones with a plan of salvation which covers every inhabitant of this world from Adam/Eve to the last born at the end of the millennium. Whether living now on earth, or now in heavens.

Would Christ’s true church exclude anyone from salvation? No!

The above verses does not ignore Christ’s saving ordinances, The purpose of LDS temples is to provide Christ’s saving ordinances to all those who have ever lived on this planet.

Please make note and post accordingly in the future. Otherwise, having been informed, you will be violating the 9th commandment.

Yours in Christ, Brother Niv
