Did you see "The 13th Day" today?

Today is the anniversary of the sixth and final appearance of the Blessed Mother at Fatima, in October 1917, and the film, The 13th Day, is opening today at a number of locations around the country. If you've seen the movie, please share your thoughts about it. For those (like me) who haven't seen it yet, here is the trailer:

The Facts Behind Fatima
1917, Fatima, Portugal

Between May and October 1917, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to three young children, Lucia Dos Santos and her cousins Jacinta and Francisco Marto, in the fields outside their village of Aljustrel, very close to Fatima in Portugal.

The Lady of Light “more brilliant than the sun” would come and speak to them at the same time, on the 13th day of each month for six months promising that on her last visit, she would perform a miracle for all to see, so that they would believe.

Lucia later revealed that on the Lady’s third visit, she gave the children a Secret, told in three parts in the form of prophetic visions of future events including the advent and timing of the Second World War, the spread of communism, and the assassination of the Pope.

Is this a new movie or a re-release? There was a nice film done in the fifties or sixties. It would be hard to beat.

We tried several different locations around town to see if it was available and it is no where to be found.

Why do they release a movie on such a limited basis?

Maybe we should see if Robert Redford’s new (and almost always EMPTY!) Sundance Theater at Hilldale Mall in ‘The People’s Republik of Madistan’ will carry it?
