I grew up Catholic. Haven't had much of a problem with Mormon missionaries. They're nice enough folks. I just tell them I'm already Christian. Generally, they are good kids and aren't pushy or anything.

I find the fights between sects of Christianity to be pretty pointless, honestly. The "my sect of Christianity is the only true sect" seems an exercise in futility.

It is. That’s why everyone should abandon those sects and join the Church instead.

I prefer not to discuss religion at all. I do not wish diminsh another’s beliefs nor do I wish others to question my beliefs as long as I don’t interfere with their rights. I make it an ironclad rule to walk away from religious discussions, unless the issue is how religious beliefs manifest themselves in unacceptable ways, i.e. some Muslim beliefs result in terrorist activities and should be condemned by one and all.

I have never seen the level of arguing among religions like I’ve seen on FR...and most is started by the Catholics! It go told a looooong time ago!

I was raised Catholic, became LDS, was considering going back to the Catholic church. I have a friend who, while Christian, is anti organized religion, because he says it only tears people apart. I am beginning to see his point.
