You are correct, that 'we' collectively speaking have allowed and in some cases voted for what kind of government we now have. However, 'patience' as the chaff is being sorted from the wheat.
And our Heavenly Father is keeping very good records on who does what. The overwhelming majority of Christians pay little heed to what Moses penned. The last few chapters of Deuteronomy pretty much sums up where we are these days. I have never understood why Moses gets little respect from modern Christians, but he was one of two that were shown transfigured for the few New Testament writers as to what happens when the flesh vessel dies. So Moses was very important messenger to Christ.
But hey...let's all be "nice guys"...shall we and disregard all earthy justice so God has to come and rip it apart for us?
In short...when you grew up, you should have done "it" yourself..so God doesn't have to do "it" for you, but since you did not and you wanted to be seen in a good light to men (see corrupt politicians, bankers and other various thieves), don't complain when Divine mercy does not come your way.
Time for some "sit and waiters" to kick their own lazy tails and really start doing some work... Nah...atlas shrugs and smiles while he collects the bribe money, while God is calling on the red phone to make his reservation...
