Environmentalism - Today's New Religion

Posted on 01/01/2010 2:44:50 PM PST by freedomguy38

Throughout history humans have worshiped nature in many forms. More recently they have become better known as environmentalists. We are grateful that their love for nature has overcome greedy humans exploiting the environment and has been able to persuade governments to set aside numerous national monuments for remembering natural wonders. However, environmentalists have been able to stop even sensible exploration and development for the good of humankind. In fact, environmentalism has become a predominant "religion” around the world today.

Their purpose is no longer saving a natural wonder for posterity to enjoy. Their love for nature has grown into a hatred for humanity which they now believe needs to be controlled as the enemy of their “nature” god.

In the past they were able to prove their concerns with real scientific data and studies. Today, they have come to depend upon their “irrefutable” (holy?) words taken from pseudo-science sources and twisted unscientific observations which fit their purposes for control.

Their “prophets” have been able to convince world powers of fearful (hellish?) consequences to humanity if their imposed “doctrines” are not followed to the letter. Choosing the natural cyclical events of global warming and cooling as their mantra, they twist honest data to blame human energy use for the changes, changes which were actually taking place centuries before humans ever began using modern natural energy supplies.

This is not unlike the theologians of the 4th and 5th century who twisted and buried God’s loving humanitarian justice as proclaimed by Old Testament prophets and Jesus. Church leaders produced their own “holy” words of condemnation and salvation. H.L. Mencken once wrote: “The urge to save humanity is always a false front for the urge to rule it.”

First they find fault and a supposed reason to blame, then they seek control through a well-planned salvation theory based on “holy” words. It is the same old repeated course followed by those who desire power and control over their fellow humans.

To be sure, misuse of local natural resources can be devastating to local communities, and such inhumane insensitivities must not be overlooked by government. But it must be said that environmentalists are anti-humanitarian hypocrites when they abhor all progress toward improving the human condition while they buy enough “credits” to keep such advantages for themselves.

Currently, they are claiming enough power to force industries to cap “over-production” and the power to tax them and us for “overuse” of energy resources. Their concepts of over-production of goods and overuse of energy will soon be determined and backed up by Federal Law! Not since the Dark Ages has a “religion” had such power over humans and governments! It must also be said that their greed and lust for power and control conflicts with God’s loving humanitarian justice and the responsible freedom it releases.

The real question is: How can we find forgiveness and love in our hearts for these insensitive and misinformed humans so that they too may turn around from oppressing us and instead come home to God’s party?

Perhaps we could give them an opportunity to think more clearly by taking away their powerful positions and no longer give them access to a historically naive audience. Removing the leadership soapbox from those who are obviously seeking power and control over us makes them less visible and more common among other humans. This alone can inspire a reassessment of self and their message.

We can disregard their threats and accusations fashioned to keep us from protesting their message. We can fearlessly and openly challenge their false messages with truth. We can seek out those who embrace God’s loving humanitarian justice and the freedom with responsibility that it encourages, then place them into leadership positions through our votes.

Absent the early Church theologians you wouldn’t be worrying today about radical environmentalism because you would be on your knees as a slave to Islam.

I think the guy gives the environmentalist leaders too much credit for being misguided. While misguided may describe many of the joe-latte proponents, the leaders of the environmental movement have been shown to be a bunch of venal, pharisaical, exploiters of others who excel in hypocrisy. Simply put, they are environment pimps.
