That is funny. Foster is the ‘odd man out’ on this. The Tanners have better sources and more objective info than many historians, I have fact checked several of their claims and have known other non LDS and non Christian scholars do the same with the same conclusions I reached.

I have had friends start of with “Mormons are Christians, too” and by the time I got done giving an honest overview of their doctrines, had them freaking out.

It's enjoyable when someone who actually knows the subject tries to gild the lily, but it's pretty sad when the only thing going for it is a "testimony".
I get so tired of the LDS claim that this thing (whatever the new thing is) is finally going to PROVE Joseph Smith, the BoM, PGP, ad infinitum is “true”.
It always ends up proving the opposite.

Interesting choice of scripture here. If Mark says that none are married or given in marriage, how do the LdS reconcile the BoM teachings of eternal marriage?
Is this one of those scriptures that the LdS toss out because it wasn't "translated correctly"? That could be a problem because you're using scripture that isn't LdS approved/sanctioned.
You are spot on SZ. I suspect that they may go into a denial mode that the scripture is incorrect - just like they do to the Isaiah passages that completly take the whole progression to godhood/polytheism doctrines out at the ankles.
