You never leave the Catholic Church. Once you are baptized a Catholic you are always a Catholic. That mark of Baptism never leaves you and you will have to explain things at the moment of your death.
Please, sit down with a priest and get your questions answered. A person is not saved by grace along or faith alone.
If you taught CCD then you know that Christ is the center of the Mass. My prayers are with you to return to the Church.
All you have to do is sit down with a priest and talk. We would welcome you back with open arms.
Since water, salt and oil (and gas) are present under pressure in most hydrocarbon bearing strata, let the gushers rip!
(With blow-out protectors of course, so as to preserve the resource and the environment.)
Thanks Be To God for The Good Earth.
I always keep blessed salt on hand!
Ping!
Thanks, Salvation
So.......can I take any salt to priest and have him bless the salt? any kind of salt perhaps reg. salt or sea salt?
Can’t I do the same for the oil? what type oil?
I am trying to get it right..this is important to me...
Always pure olive oil.
Thank you..
I want to make sure when I ask Father that I have the correct oil and salt...
I hope to have this by Christmas...
We use blessed salt in all of our dishes.
What is New Fire?
Amen to that!!
On Good Friday all the candles are extinguished. There is no Light of Christ because Christ is in the tomb.
So at the Easter Vigil the priest or deacon light the New Fire and then the New Fire is transferred to the Paschal/Easter candle, then it is transferred to all the attendees at the Easter Vigil Mass until the Church is illuminated once again with the Light of Christ.
Then are about four or more Old Testament Readings. Then the Gloria is sung again after Lent has kept it silent, and the lights (electrical) are turned on in the church so that the individually-held candles can be extinguished and not drip all over.
the origin of a name, date, whatever, does not make them in some way evil....the chance of Christ being born on december 25 is 1 in 365....so what. There are only so many new things on the earth. I like the months of the year and who cares where the words came from......a lot of things had to come from pagans.....there were a lot of them and the ran things at that time Duhhhh
that’s what I say
