This is a solo mindset.
You forget that our sin reaches out and touches others -- even our sins of omission (neglect of others; LACK of love for others). Our actions impact others, for better or worse...some of our sins leave them right where they are in their sin -- when we have an opportunity to be used of God to make a difference in their lives.
Let me give you an example: A kid goes to Boy Scouts at a church. The church member Boy Scout leader molests that boy one time on an outing. That kid stops going to Boy Scouts in the near future, and never steps foot again in any church.
Now tell me, if that kid goes on to further the cycle of abuse and grows up to abuse other kids, what's your honest opinion of the original abuser and the cycle of generational sin he spawned??? What if there were 10 cycles of abuse jumpstarted by this guy? I mean, what?, do you think God judges us in a vacuum?
Why do you keep trying to make this issue what an evangelical preacher may emphasize vs. what a Mormon may emphasize? Why don't you just come right out and say you have an issue with Jesus Christ Himself and what He has said on matters like this?
Here, I'll show you what I mean: 6But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. 7"Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to sin!
