Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem~Countdown to Exodus
Moses In The Tents of Jethro

Even this brief incident in Scripture has been the subject of Fine Art.

The Second Book of Moses, called
EXODUS
Chapter 18

18:1 When Jethro, the priest of Midian, Moses' father in law,
heard of all that God had done for Moses,
and for Israel his people, and that the LORD had brought Israel out of Egypt;
18:2 Then Jethro, Moses' father in law,
took Zipporah, Moses' wife,
after he had sent her back,
18:3 And her two sons;
of which the name of the one was Gershom;
for he said, I have been an alien in a strange land:
18:4 And the name of the other was Eliezer;
for the God of my father, said he, was mine help,
and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh:
18:5 And Jethro, Moses' father in law, came with his sons and his wife unto Moses into the wilderness,
where he encamped at the mount of God:
18:6 And he said unto Moses, I thy father in law Jethro am come unto thee, and thy wife, and her two sons with her.
18:7 And Moses went out to meet his father in law,
and did obeisance, and kissed him;
and they asked each other of their welfare; and they came into the tent.
18:8 And Moses told his father in law all that the LORD had done unto Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israel's sake,
and all the travail that had come upon them by the way,
and how the LORD delivered them.
18:9 And Jethro rejoiced for all the goodness which the LORD had done to Israel,
whom he had delivered out of the hand of the Egyptians.
18:10 And Jethro said, Blessed be the LORD,
who hath delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians,
and out of the hand of Pharaoh,
who hath delivered the people from under the hand of the Egyptians.
18:11 Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods:
for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly he was above them.
18:12 And Jethro, Moses' father in law, took a burnt offering and sacrifices for God:
and Aaron came,
and all the elders of Israel,
to eat bread with Moses' father in law before God.
18:13 And it came to pass on the morrow,
that Moses sat to judge the people:
and the people stood by Moses from the morning unto the evening.

Oh LORD, Our God,
How excellent is Your Name Over All the Earth!
You Alone Are Worthy;
You Alone Are Holy;
You Alone Are The One True God of Abraham!

We Come Into Your Presence With Singing,
And Into Your Courts With Praise.

Dear Father, we thank You for the People That You Send Into Our Lives to Refresh Us,
People Who Make Our Journey Easier.
We Ask that You Send "Jethros" to Help and Refresh Your People Israel.
Thank You, also for showing us , through this story,
How "strangers" can become "Family" by Faith.

LORD, We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem, According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray For For Your Wisdom and Discernment to Fill the minds and hearts of PM Netayahu and his advisers, that they may make godly and just decisions for Your People.
We pray for Our Own leaders, in the USA, that They will be Enlightened As To Your Will For The People Of Israel,
And Stop being A Hinderence to Them.
We pray for an END to Lies, Slander, Blood Libel, Propaganda, and Antisemitism against Your Beloved.
We Pray For AN End to Slavery, Hostage-Taking, and Piracy wherever it is Practiced Around the World.
We Beseech You on Behalf of Our Captive brethren, Christians and Jews, In Bondage in Hostile lands.
We Plead For Israeli Control Over All the Holy Sites in Israel, so that All Faiths may visit them.
We Pray For The People in E. Jerusalem, That They may have peaceful neighborhoods.
We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

O worthy, Holy Father, great are thou. excellent and majesty are You, We humbly bow down before you in gratitude and with thankful heart, magnificent are your works. We come in praise and worship, asking forgiveness for the sins we have committed before you. Against You and You only we have sinned. We come in repentance ans asking favor on the ones believing in You, and for the ones that do not know You. Draw them to come, let us speak of Your greatness to all we meet. Bless America, Israel, and Your people where ever they are. Thank you, Father that you hear our prayer. Nothing is impossible to You. Of ourselves we can do nothing. Indeed!

And From an Earlier description we know that Jethro was a “High Priest of the Midianites”, which means he was originally a worshiper of a host of desert gods and goddesses. So THIS encounter was a REAL MOMENT OF TRUTH for him!

Amazing how this brief passage of Scripture has SO MUCH to offer us!
