On February 12, 2010, President Préval of Haiti called his nation to 3 days of fasting and prayer in place of the regular Mardi Gras celebration. Several of the nation's Christian Leaders had 5 days to set up and arrange this event, Pastor Rene Joseph of Loving Hands Ministry was one of the head leaders and over 1 million Haitians attended this epic event.

Actually their king dedicated their country to satan in the 1800s. If you look at a satellite picture of the dominican republic and haiti (same island just divided same natural resources) you will quickly see that land can become defiled through spiritual means.

When I think of millions of Americans coming together for something, the most recent examples that come to mind are Obama's inauguration and Michael Jackson's funeral. It's clear that our citizens are craving worship, but they're diverting their energy from GOD and setting their hearts on poor substitutes.
By the way, did President Obama ever pay a VISIT to Haiti? If I remember correctly, he was so busy working on deathcare, he didn't. There really is no excuse though. Haiti is NOT that far. In fact, it's so close that he wouldn't even have to spend the night--just a few hours. I don't believe the First Lady has gone yet either...

There are probably reasons for this. Either way, I shouldn't be judgmental. America did more than any other country in its response. I understand President Preval recently visited the White House and expressed his gratefulness for America's solidarity with the Haitians. Very encouraging.
How awesome! I never heard of this before.... what no MSM coverage of a gathering of over a million Haitians worshoping and praying?
I was the Glenn Beck American Revival yesterday and David Barton spoke how our early leaders and Congress would regularly call for days of prayer and fasting, as well as, days of prayer and thanksgiviing.
Can you imagine such a thing of today’s Congress?
