Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem~Countdown to Exodus
The Ten Commandments

The Second Book of Moses, called
EXODUS
Chapter 20

20:12 Honor thy father and thy mother:
that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

20:13 Thou shalt not kill.

20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

20:15 Thou shalt not steal.

20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house,
thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife,
nor his manservant, nor his maidservant,
nor his ox, nor his ass,
nor any thing that is thy neighbor's.

20:18 And all the people saw the thunderings,
and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet,
and the mountain smoking:
and when the people saw it,
they removed, and stood afar off.

20:19 And they said unto Moses,
Speak thou with us, and we will hear:
but let not God speak with us, lest we die.
20:20 And Moses said unto the people,
Fear not: for God is come to prove you,
and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.
20:21 And the people stood afar off,
and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.
20:22 And the LORD said unto Moses,
Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel,
Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.

20:23 Ye shall not make with me gods of silver,
neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.
20:24 An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me,
and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings,
and thy peace offerings,
thy sheep, and thine oxen:
in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee,
and I will bless thee.

Shalom!

Happy Passover and a Blessed Holy Week to All.

There are 613 Commandments (Mitzvot) in the Bible, But The FIRST TEN are Known As THE TEN COMMANDMENTS.

We Will Conclude this particular study in Exodus with These Amazing Laws From The One True God.

It is said that the First Four Commandments are For How We Relate to God.
The Next Six are How We Relate To Our Neighbor.

Yeshua distilled the Entire Law into Two Statements:

"Thou Shalt Love the LORD Thy God With Thy Whole heart, Thy Whole Soul, Thy Whole Mind, and Thy Whole Strength."

And:

Thou Shalt Love Thy Neighbor As Thyself. Thus Is Contained The Entire Law."

Come and pray With me For the Peace of Jerusalem in These Perilous Times.

Exodus 20 (King James Version)

Exodus 20
1.And God spake all these words, saying,

2.I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3.Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4.Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

5.Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

6.And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

7.Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

8.Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9.Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10.But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11.For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

12.Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

13.Thou shalt not kill.

14.Thou shalt not commit adultery.

15.Thou shalt not steal.

16.Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

17.Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.

18.And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.

19.And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.

20.And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.

21.And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.

22.And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.

23.Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.

24.An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.

25.And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.

The two commandments Jesus spoke ...
We all fail to live up to the first.

How much time, thought and contemplation do we spend reading the Bible, learning about God, praying, and attempting to live by His word?

We all fall short. Don't we? Does that mean to turn aside and forget it? NO. NO. NO. We are to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. _______________________________________________

“Philippians 2:12 (King James Version)

12.Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”
________________________________________________________

_______________________________________________________

It is a process ... like being transformed into the image of Christ
“In 2 Corinthians 3:17-18, the Bible says, “Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the spirit of the Lord.”

____________________________________________________________He that liveth and believith in me shall never die.

“John 11:25-26 (King James Version)

25.Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

26.And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”

forgive my straying abit.

Father, In the name of Jesus I come before YOU humbly, in thanksgiving and worship of Your great justice, omipotentce, omniscient, Your omnipresence, knowing the end from the beginning. LORD we love You and desire to be pleasing to You. We trust Your love, Grace, faithfulness. Help us in our day. You are the potter, we are the clay. Forgive our offenses, show mercy and loving kindness to all who come seeking You and calling for Your favour and blessing. How long Father must we wait? Nothing is impossible to You. Bless America, turn us back to You, bless Israel, and bring them peace, Bless Your Holy City Jerusalem. Bless Your feasts. We Praise You always and forever. Hallelujah! Amen.

Amen to your Beautiful Prayer!

The Law is so perfect that Nobody can keep it perfectly.

We ALL fall short.

Because even if we THINK against it, we are breaking it.

And THAT’S why we ALL need a Redeemer.

Though it’s easy to say “I never KILLED anybody”, How many of us have wished we had a nicer house like our neighbor? Or a nicer car? Or even a better looking spouse?

Great analysis, my FRiend!

Well, we have arrived at Passover, starting this evening ... today, Nissan 14, 5770 - going into Nissan 15, 5770 this early evening ...

Why does the Jewish day start at sundown?
by Rabbi Mendy Hecht

A. Think about it--what makes more sense: for a new day to begin when the old day ends, or in the middle of the night? That’s basically why the Jewish day begins at sundown--it follows the laws of nature. But a fuller understanding of why the Jewish day starts at sundown requires a quick examination of time.

B. When G-d created the universe, He created time, space and matter simultaneously. At the very beginning of Creation, the clock began ticking at 00:00 at the precise moment space and matter burst into being. Twenty-four hours later, Day One was complete. What does the Torah say? "It was evening and it was morning, one day." That first 24-hour day began with night and ended with day--and it’s been that way ever since.

C. Later, on Day Four, G-d assigned the sun and the moon as day and night markers, setting up the solar system the way it is today, but the Jewish day begins with night, because that's how time began.
