It Couldn't Be Happening Now - Right?

"It couldn't happen in our time - right? I mean, come on. Don't be ridiculous."

Now let's be honest, at some point have you ever let the thought that just maybe the end of the world is upon us cross your mind. Listen, you don't have to raise your hand and be identified publicly as some sort of kook. It is just between us here. I just wonder, "have you ever wondered?"

Honestly, it has crossed my mind. And, I have clients that swear that 2012 will end everything. Personally, I subscribe to the Bible which states that no man knows the date. But the idea, well, when coupled with everything going on in this day and age, well - it is a little too spooky to be all together kooky.

People thought the world was coming to an end when Napoleon rose to power in Europe. I have read books giving chapter and verse about how he was the AntiChrist, and about all the prophecies were lining up.

The thing is, every generation thinks they are generation Z, standing at the end of history. But the end is not so soon.

What is the END?

The end of GRACE?

The end of the WORLD?

The end of MANKIND

The end of EVIL?

Maybe we are close to the *beginning*

True - I mentioned as much in the article. That being said - at some point, one of those generations is gonna be right. ;)

I subscribe to the Bible which states that no man knows the date.

Do you also subscribe to Amos 3:7?

Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

Interesting...

Interesting

Not really. Seems to be pretend contradiction to me.

BTW, change your tagline or I’ll punch someone!

I’ll stick with what the Bible tells us. As for 2012. November 2012 I’m looking forward to it.

I don’t think it is a contradiction. No man knows the date or the hour. True when written, probably true today. At some point, a prophet will know. And we will all make fun of him for putting a date down...

Changed my tagline for ya.

That is the point - no man knows the day or the hour. But we are accountable for watching the signs of the times and staying vigilant. God does not necessarily need to supply a prophet announcing His return.

I am mindful, for example, that there appear to be descriptions in Isaiah of a cleanup by Israel after a nuclear exchange.

Seems vaguely plausible /s .
