THE CLIMAX OF WORLD HISTORY…ZECH 12:10

“I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, ...” (Zechariah 12:10 NASB)

...All of the pressures being brought to bear on Israel, will lead to that end. Her rejection by the world community, the unrelenting hatred of the Arab/Muslim world, the fact that the Arabs have been put in a position of power by the placement of easy ,pure crude oil,the rise of antisemitism in Europe and elsewhere, all are calculated by Satan to destroy Israel, but they are being used by God to get her to the point of desperation in which she will call out to God for salvation.

Zechariah says that in the midst of this final end times seige, Israel will be given the spirit of grace and supplication, an anointing of Godly sorrow for sin and unbelief. They will have to experience a real day of Atonement, a deep soul-searching, and at tat point,

And a fountain shall open to them for cleansing of sin, which shall also quench the spirit of false prophesy and usher in the long anticipated Day of the Lord. It is the same fountain the church has testified to in song-

There is a fountain filled with blood, drawn from Emmanuel’s veins and sinners plunged beneath the flood, lose all their guilty stains.

This is the climax of world history, the salvation of Israel, the vindication of the Messiah, the fulfillment of all promises. The resurrection of the world from the dead, look for it my friends, pray for it ! Prepare for it!

Her rejection by the world community

Well let's just think about that for a minute, Bill. I'm not Jewish, I'm a Christian.

By proclaiming itself a "Jewish State" they exclude me. And a lot of other folks.

They say openly "We don't like you, Johnny. Stay the hell out".

Do you think this may have something to do with this alleged "rejection"?

Do you find yourself liking folks who exclude you on the basis of religion?

I am also a Christian and I don’t feel excluded at all. I am looking forward to the unfolding of God’s plan according to prophecy.

The way I understand the bible, the whole world will be against Israel. The USA isn’t even mentioned in end times prophecy. When all the countries are aligned against Israel, then God can do what He does very well, deliver them supernaturally. Scripture says that ALL Israel will be saved.

Israel's was created, both biblically and again in 1948), as a Jewish State, why is that a problem for you?

Have you ever applied for Israeli citizenship?

Have you ever spent time in Israel?

Why the hostility?

liege, I'm sorry, but why on earth would you think you can match a pastor in all matters Biblical? You made at least two mistakes even I could spot.

'The USA isn’t even mentioned in end times prophecy'.

WRONG, the USA is mentioned as one of the 'young lions' With only a 230 year history, the USA is merely a footnote to our Sire, Great Britian a lion and a world power for more than 700 years.

'Scripture says that ALL Israel will be saved'

WRONG, all of Israel won't be saved. More than 80% of the Israeli's will be killed in her upcoming wars of the end times.

BTW, I'm not endered to modern Israel, a noninally democrat socialist enclave, which lobbies, siphons and extracts away our billions of my tax dollars. When, I went there in 1999 it was filthy, the people were rude and the hotels unpleasant.

However, Israel has been a loyal and valuble allie. Our biblical mandate is to assit the faithful remnant of true believers in Jesus Christ. For most Jews, it will be a pitiful slaughter.

Bill really knows his stuff!

Well, I never said that I was trying to match biblical knowledge with anyone.

I will have to agree that we disagree on this. I don’t think it is wise or fruitful to get into a pissing match regarding end times prophecies, as so many experts disagree.

My original post was to show my support for Israel and that I didn’t feel excluded because they are Jews and I am not. That’s where I will let it stand.

The 20% that are left will be saved, hence all Israel will be saved ( Romans 11:25-27)

Okay...I'll bite. :o) This verse is not translated correctly out of the Hebrew. It reads:

10And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

It should read:

10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they shall look unto Me because they have thrust him through; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his first-born.

The KJV makes it sound like Jesus but the correct rendering of the Hebrew says: they will look unto me (G-d speaking of Himself here) because they have thrust him through.

Who is he? And why do the people turn to G-d? Since this is a future event, we do not know who the person is that will be killed. But we know he will be a very beloved person, as in the valley of Meggido, much like Yoni Netanyahu who was the only one killed in the raid on Entebbe. The whole Nation of Israel mourned him greatly.

12:11In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

Messiah Truth:The concluding verses speak of someone who is pierced and dies. His death will so shock the nation that the people will be moved to repentance and mourning, an intense mourning of this person who is killed that it would be as if they were mourning for a firstborn son. Verse 11 paints a rather dramatic picture of how widespread the mourning will be by comparing this mourning to the mourning the people did over the death of King Josiah, who was killed in battle against the Egyptians, as told in 2 Kings 23:29-30. 2 Chronicles 35:22-25 tells that all of Judah mourning for him.

Also, for Zech 12:10 to be understood in context all of Chapter 12 is one period of time. and the preceding verse Zech 12:9 says:

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

All the Nations were not aligned to destroy Jerusalem in Jesus's time, nor did G-d interevene to stop the destruction in 70AD. So, when the beloved hero dies in 12:10 it is not Jesus, this is a future event.

And a fountain shall open to them for cleansing of sin, which shall also quench the spirit of false prophesy and usher in the long anticipated Day of the Lord. It is the same fountain the church has testified to in song- There is a fountain filled with blood, drawn from Emmanuel’s veins and sinners plunged beneath the flood, lose all their guilty stains.

This is a misunderstanding of the text and frankly, is way off.

Zech 13:1 In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for purification and for sprinkling.

A fountain or spring will be opened...for purification and for sprinkling.

That is not a description of a fountain of blood! It is a description of the ritual washing away of sin from unclean persons, using clean water.

Numbers 19: 17And for an unclean person they shall take of the ashes of the burnt heifer of purification for sin, and running water shall be put thereto in a vessel:

18And a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons that were there, and upon him that touched a bone, or one slain, or one dead, or a grave:

19And the clean person shall sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day: and on the seventh day he shall purify himself, and wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at even.

So, once again, verses that appear christological....are not.

I agree with everything you said. Whatever happens during the coming days things end very bad for Israel. FTM, they end badly for everyone who winds up outside of the love of Christ. 'He that's within us is greater than he that's in the world'

IMHO, Bill Randles doing a wonderful job waking people up. Thanks for your response.
