RE: I used to go to yoga classes when I was in college in the mid to late 70’s.
That’s where all the hot chicks were.
Were you a Christian then? Are you one now? If so, what do you think of practicing Yoga as a Christian?
It hurts my muscles and joints just as much as if I weren't a Christian............I take that back. I don't know what it's like to yoga as a non-Christian.
This article is a crock............
Personally, I think that it is just movements of the body. Except for learning that I have been sitting in the Lotus position as long as I can remember sitting, I wouldn’t know Yoga if it hit me in the face. I probably do some sort of Yoga movements every day.
My DIL had a friend who is an OT working with a young child with severe physical and mental limitations. She was doing a Yoga type treatment and the child was coming along like crazy. She was starting to sit up and move around, her eyes were brighter and she was responding to her parents but then the father came to watch and realized it was Yoga and wouldn’t let her do it anymore and she totally regressed.
I’d say Yoga is like a gun, it is all in the way you use it. There are poisons which, under the right circumstances, make lifesaving medicines. Many things in this world can be used for bad or for good and it isn’t the action that would make it sinful but the intention.
