In certain groups, you have somewhat similar conditions today, where men take no responsibility whether or not they father children. And do the women in those conditions gain power? No...in fact, just the opposite. Even with easy access to abortion,

The power is in the control of their OWN lives. Not someone else’s. Once they have sex outside of marriage, it opens them up to STDs, Pregnancy and all the problems of both. The guy can be long gone and they still lose control of their lives because they have to deal with the consequences.

First that isn't true, remember high school when 1 girl could remove the virginity of a large portion of the males, the same as a couple of hookers could do for other male groups and cliques.
The rest of life is like that, the bars have a few easy girls and the hookers that service huge numbers of men.
This Saturday night, visit the clubs close to closing time, and try to see who is hunting, and the rarity of what is being hunted, and write down the ratios and note the difference in the males that you see going home alone despite spending their money and efforts on avoiding that result, versus the females going home alone by choice.
Watch as half a dozen males crowd around a single female, hoping to be the one.
If you really have the energy, be sure to notice all the hookers out at that time of the night, why are they there? Because they are available to make up that gender gap in the sex hunt. Do you see any male hookers standing out there to service the females that couldn't score? Of course not.

Um, the “dirty little secret” is that women like cuddles and kisses and are willing to have sex to get them.
That is how we are hard wired. Women are looking to nest, men are looking to plant their seeds. Women have been told far too long that they “want sex as much as men do”, when actually they want the closeness that comes with sex. Men and women are really working toward different goals. The Cougars are the women that believe the feminazi hype of “you want it as much as they do”. No, we don’t. Because given the choice of a sexless but lovefilled marriage or a bunch of one night stands, honestly, we’ll take the marriage.
It’s the reason why lesbian relationships are all about emotion and male homosexual relationships are all about sex.

Having sex while the woman is on the pill is like eating with one’s stomach stapled so no nutrition can be absorbed.
Something’s very, very wrong with both situations. (And of course, not just “the pill” but the pill is extreme, and symbolizes all contraception, due to its ease. And of course the fact that most BC pills (AFAIK) are abortifacients into the bargain.
