Um...no they DON'T. Their articles of Faith say this: We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.

Two things. First, lots of non-Christian sects use the bible. Second, Christians believe that the blood of Christ is a complete atonement for their sins. We call it Grace. Mormons believe it is a partnership. Jesus did part and you do part. I’m WAY oversimplifying, but there are plenty of people here that will be happy to spam you on the subject. ;)

In all seriousness, Mormonism has much more in common with Islam than it does Christianity.

Mormonism denies the cornerstone/capstone of Christianity.

Dear friend, please do more research. You are painfully in need of information.

Thank you

Yes, the LDS that Jesus Christ die for our sins and because we read the Testimony accurately His humble prayer in the garden of Gethsemane to His Father in Heaven and sealing it with His blood upon the cross!

Paying the price for our redemption in the garden of Gethsemane and Salvation by overcoming the Cross (death) receiving a resurrected body of Flesh and Bone!

There was none other who could have paid the ransom only Jesus Christ and given us eternal life!

You’re making a huge mistake if you believe they are Christians.....they are using Christian terminolgy in which to bait and switch the unsuspecting....because this is what works for most cults and false religions or they wouldn’t be doing so.

Their teachings directly oppose the teachings of Christ...as do their various rituals and indoctrinations. Which is why the whole Christain commuity has determined they are not Christian. They worship an imposter Christ and follow the counterfeit teachings of their dead leader...Joseph Smith...who modeled the Mormon beliefs with many cult practices and himself practiced these.

I think it goes off the rails on the second line of the Apostles Creed.

People don’t consider LDS Christians because they do not fit into their little box of what Christianity is. I, like you, believe that so long as someone accepts Christ as their Savior, then then they are Christian. So often, different sects of Christianity will even shun other sects, because they were the Baptist movement of 1848, instead of the one founded in 1762. Then, I wonder why I have friends who read their Bibles and follow Jesus Christ, but are so anti-organized religion.

Actually, IIRC, their take on Christ shedding his blood for us as an atonement is when he went through so much agony in the Garden of Gethsemane (sp?) that he sweated blood. THAT is the blood they talk about.
