This thread is getting hysterically funny.

No chanting. Our teachers are Christian.

There are yoga studios that chant to gods and goddesses asking for all kinds of things. That’s Hindu.

God bless you all.

I have never had anyone present yoga in any religious way... it may have roots in pagan ritual but not in America today. Seems some Christians want to be like the taliban I guess.

For the many nitwits who lump Yoga in with exercise and stretching, I’d strongly recommend reading Aleister Crowley’s Eight Meditations on Yoga. That should wake up any spiritually discerning Christians to what the real point of Yoga is. It is a spiritual exercise, designed to “enlighten” the participant, and likely open them up to demonic influence.

Meditation is a religious practice. So don’t discount Mohler’s concern about Yoga.

I seriously doubt that it’s listening to God. It’s getting in touch with and listening to your own subconscious mind, and since all have sinned, that doesn’t seem like such a wise thing to do.
