Church Historian Phillip Schaff attributes this hymn to John Calvin; tune Toulon, Trinity Hymnal #135; New Trinity # 168

Well here I am bringing up the rear I suspect.... My all time favorite hymn...but do you think I could find just one version of an old fashioned church choir singing this without all the drumbeat...or the singers so bad I had to close my ears! But this version by Alan Jackson comes closest to the Traditional...and you can sing right along with him...words are presented. This is a country western singer.
