LANSING, Michigan, November 10, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A Michigan Catholic bishop will preside over the funeral and burial of 17 aborted children whose remains were found in a dumpster in February.
Citizens for a Pro-Life Society announced that Bishop Earl Boyea of the Diocese of Lansing will celebrate a funeral Mass for the unborn victims at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Saturday, November 20 at 11 am.
A burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Lansing.
Back in February, local pro-life advocate Chris Veneklase confirmed suspicions that the Womans Choice abortion clinic in Delta Township was disposing bio-hazardous waste, and the corpses of aborted infants, along with the rest of the trash in its dumpster.
Veneklase said he found the remains of 17 aborted unborn children in 17 bags marked with both the January dates of the abortions and the full names of the respective mothers. The findings were corroborated by CPLS president Dr. Monica Miller. (WARNING: pictures can be found here, but are extremely graphic)
The findings led to a 7-month investigation by county sheriffs and the state attorney general’s office. However the AG concluded that the abortion clinics could escape prosecution even for the record dumping. Since both abortion facilities were not properly incorporated under state law, state authorities lacked the legal grounds to discipline them for the improper handling of medical records.
Michigan GOP State Reps. Rick Jones, Bob Jenetsky and Joe Haveman have proposed several pieces of legislation to change the law.
The proposed law, HB 5929, would require that abortion clinics cremate aborted infants or bury them if the mother requests it. Two other bills, HB 6428 and HB 6429 would make violations of the new law a felony punishable by up to three years in jail, a maximum $5,000 fine, or both.

They will celebrate our extinction and pave over our graves, and ask how people who could travel to the moon could allow the sacrifice of their own offspring to a state-sponsored demon.
And we will deserve it.
