Rep. Jim Moran, Democrat of Virginia, is angry at Catholic League president Bill Donohue for protesting the anti-Christian video that was removed from the Smithsonian Institution; it was part of a larger art exhibit. What he said about Donohue, as quoted in the Washington Post, went beyond mere criticism. Moran said Donohue "implicitly condoned all the pedophilia that was going on in the church."
Donohue responds today:
Congressman Moran has been accused of being an anti-Semite by his own Jewish colleagues in the House of Representatives, and he has a track record of bashing the Catholic Church. So it is not a shocker that he has returned to the well again.
Moran can call me any name he wants, but he is walking a libelous line to say that I condone sexual abuse. The law aside, it is despicable that a sitting congressman would make such an outrageously indefensible accusation. Any time he wants to debate me on this issue, or any other, I will be glad to make the necessary media contacts.
Moran is a loose cannon and a disgrace to the United States Congress. We will make sure his colleagues learn of his latest outburst.

The only funny thing about little Jimmy Moran is that he really believes that he is some kind of tough guy.
Despite the wife-beating-on-the-front-lawn episode and the assault-on-the-little-boy-who-was-”hijacking”-his-car episode, HE KEEPS BEING RE-ELECTED. What is wrong with people in that district? He is a useless, ignorant, total moron who votes the Dem party line. A disgrace.
I just hope someday, somehow I get a chance at Moran! What a pleasure it would be.
So, if you had a district with an overwhelming majority of typical Democrats they'd probably vote for an alcoholic, bullying wife beater who abuses children.
You have people just like that in your own district ~ which is why you should never turn your back on a Democrat.

Don’t you think as the House moves more and more Conservative, Moron’s constituents will become, in effect, without representation? He will be relegated to the back bench...a very minor member of various committees, without any influence....a monumental disappointment to his deadbeat-American constituents....

MOran was in fact a USMC Golden Gloves boxer, and he has physically attacked those who disagreed with him both in Congress and out on the streets. He continues to appear truculent and menacing when confronted by critics..
But he’s nearly 65 now.
BTW, MOran is also a wife beater.

According to his Congressional biography, he graduated from college in 1967 (age 22) and spent the next three years getting a master's degree before spending 6 years as a government bureaucrat. Not a hint of any military service there.
I am aware that he courageously beat the snot out of his first wife on multiple occasions, though.
In the good old days, Moran would have been turned into an ember instead of elected as a member.
Maybe MOran “added” descriptions of military service.

Not to toot my own horn, but I’m a Vietnam vet who will finally be forced to retire next month from the reserves, and phony vets of any stripe really get my goat!
If Moron had any honor or integrity, he would defer to somebody who could help his voters....he has to know that as a rep, he will have no, none, zero, zip, nada influence on anything.
.........I continue to hope that most people have some reasoning power. You know, be able to figure out the results of actions and keep on doing the same thing if the results are good, and change them if the results are destructive.....
....but, sigh...then....the pictures of the starving mother somewhere in Africa holding an also starving, bloated bellied baby with its teeth hanging out, flies lined up around its mouth and eyes, and the mother pregnant with another child......
....ignorance is the most destructive force on the face of the earth.
