Thanks Captain Beyond.CBS' 60 Minutes news program, in conjunction with Vanity Fair magazine, recently conducted a web survey asking which archaeological discovery people would most want to see made next. The response: Noah's Ark (43%), Atlantis (18%) Amelia Earhart's plane (16%), Nixon's lost tapes (13%), and Cleopatra's barge (5%). I wonder what else was on the list? Frankly these top five include three duds. Naturally, I'd have Atlantis at the number one spot; at or near the number two spot would be the diplomatic archive at Troy; the Ark of the Covenant would be right up there; Noah's Ark might be in my top ten. Nixon had lost tapes? I thought it was just 18 missing minutes on an existing tape.
Ordinarily I wouldn't ping this (and might not even add this to the catalog), but this could spark some interesting "top ten" ideas. Thanks again CB.
