The historic marriage of Episcopal Divinity School, dean and president, the Very Reverend Katherine Hancock Ragsdale and Mally Lloyd, Canon to the Ordinary, took place today at the Cathedral Church of St Paul in Boston.
The Episcopalian bishop of Massachusetts began 2011 by solemnizing the first lesbian marriage - of two senior Episcopalian clergy - at Boston's St Paul's Cathedral Saturday (January 1).
The marriage of Episcopal Divinity School, dean and president, the Very Reverend Katherine Hancock Ragsdale and Mally Lloyd, Canon to the Ordinary, was the first lesbian marriage solemnized by the Right Reverend M Thomas Shaw SSJE, Bishop Diocesan of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts.
At the marriage attended by close to 400 guests, Bishop Shaw commented: God always rejoices when two people who love each other make a life long commitment in marriage to go deeper into the heart of God through each other. Its a profound pleasure for me to celebrate with God and my friends, the marriage of Katherine and Mally.
The couple met on June 30, 2008, at the urging of a mutual friend. At the time, Canon Lloyd, 57, said, We were both travelling a lot and so we would talk by phone. And somehow when you talk a lot by phone, a relationship can go deeper more quickly than when you spend time in person. At least that is what happened to us.
Although this is a second marriage for Canon Lloyd, it is the first for Dean Ragsdale,52. Its astonishing how the world is changing, Dean Ragsdale said, when I grew up, I never believed I would be able to have someone special in my life and now to have almost 400 people show up to support us at our marriage ceremony is wonderful.
Canon Lloyd says: We have a lot in...........

Sounds like a scene from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
There was a program in which a gay man and a woman went around changing the way people dressed. They help them become glamorous or some such nonsense. Anyway, this one program focused on their helping a very young woman who was an ordained episcopal priest. Lots of shots of her wearing clothing looking in a full length mirror, a few smirking comments from the hosts about making points to enter heaven and so on. At one point early in the program these two met the womans mother and some other homosexual episcopal priest to discuss the young girl.
Lots of talk about how the girl wanted to meet someone, get married, how priests dress blah, blah blah. I could not take it anymore and turned the channel. I was so shocked I just turned the channel.
One reads about the reaction Christ had to the money changers in the temple...one wonders what his reaction to active, homosexuals priests pretending to be married would be?
I am not a member of the Episcopal Church, I'm Catholic. My heart goes out to the members of the Episcopal Church, its enough to bring tears thinking of what has happened to that once great institution.
The whole country is starting to look that way. America has become one giant freak show.
I know a young married couple who were on their Episcopal church council. She told me that the members of this council vote on ordaining or accepting a new priest ( I do not recall exactly ). They voted against the man as he was an active homosexual and the married couple was soon off the council and ostracized in the church. Total silent treatment for them.
After a lot of prayer they finally joined the Catholic Church and are quite happy.
I wonder if this counts as the abomination which causes desolation?
to purge the reproach that is brought on the Name of Christ by such people?
I love my sheep. Will the good bishop marry us?
The Episcopal church didn’t want him as much as he didn’t want them. They thought he was too conservative and “intolerant”. While he got his degree, they never put him through the rest of his confirmation process. I know he was looking at getting into the ACNA after he left the Episcopal Church.
“Very Reverend,” my foot.
thanks for the ping

With this act, this they are no longer a church, but a group of liars trying to claim tax-exempt status. If I were part of this church, I would leave it at once. They have turned their backs to God, let them pay the consequences of such an act. Bunch of heathens!
All of these liberals are very immature people who never had to grow up and are living in a perpetual mutual admiration society that they consider to be wonderful and exclusive. They know they scandalize god fearing people, and they fancy themselves “very intelligent” and enlightened. I don’t know anything to do but cry out to the Lord about all of it and to pray for them to have their eyes opened even if it takes chastisement.
Dearest Bishop Shaw..You, and your entire church should be shivering in your collective boots, fearing the day God returns to reclaim his people. You should begin checking hotel reservations at the Lake of Fire. Most don’t have air conditioning.

__________
I’m a former member of TEC who is now a Catholic. I finally got tired of watching the leftists destroy TEC, and so I converted.
Many many more Anglicans are going to convert to the Catholic faith after the new ordinates are established.

This is sick. Reminds me of Kagan, Dean of Harvard Law.
