Just wait until he gets the bill from the new attorneys; instead of the currently missing $23,000, he’ll end up with just $2,300 owed to him.

... potential damage to the public image of attorneys. The attourneys should immediately commit a few bank robberies, muggings, rapes, and arson attacks on synagogues.
That would dramatically improve their public image.
