Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

The Book of Proverbs
Chapter 27

1. Do not boast about tomorrow,
For you do not know what a day may bring forth.
2. Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth;
A stranger, and not your own lips.
3. A stone is heavy and sand is weighty,
But a fool’s wrath is heavier than both of them.
4. Wrath is cruel and anger a torrent,
But who is able to stand before jealousy?
5. Open rebuke is better
Than love carefully concealed.
6. Faithful are the wounds of a friend,
But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.
7. A satisfied soul loathes the honeycomb,
But to a hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.
8. Like a bird that wanders from its nest
Is a man who wanders from his place.
9. Ointment and perfume delight the heart,
And the sweetness of a man’s friend gives delight by hearty counsel.
10. Do not forsake your own friend or your father’s friend,
Nor go to your brother’s house in the day of your calamity;
Better is a neighbor nearby than a brother far away.
11. My son, be wise, and make my heart glad,
That I may answer him who reproaches me.
12. A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself;
The simple pass on and are punished.
13. Take the garment of him who is surety for a stranger,
And hold it in pledge when he is surety for a seductress.
14. He who blesses his friend with a loud voice,
rising early in the morning,
It will be counted a curse to him.
15. A continual dripping on a very rainy day
And a contentious woman are alike;
16 Whoever restrains her restrains the wind,
And grasps oil with his right hand.
17. As iron sharpens iron,
So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.
18. Whoever keeps the fig tree will eat its fruit;
So he who waits on his master will be honored.
19. As in water face reflects face,
So a man’s heart reveals the man.
20. Hell and Destruction are never full;
So the eyes of man are never satisfied.
21. The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, And a man is valued by what others say of him.
22. Though you grind a fool in a mortar with a pestle along with crushed grain,
Yet his foolishness will not depart from him.
23. Be diligent to know the state of your flocks,
And attend to your herds;
24. For riches are not forever,
Nor does a crown endure to all generations.
25. When the hay is removed, and the tender grass shows itself,
And the herbs of the mountains are gathered in,
26. The lambs will provide your clothing,
And the goats the price of a field;
27. You shall have enough goats’ milk for your food,
For the food of your household,
And the nourishment of your maidservants.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Oh LORD, Our God,
How Majestic,
How Wonderful,
How Excellent is Your Most Holy Name!
You Alone Are Worthy to be Praised and Worshiped,
for You Alone Are the Most High,
Ancient of Days,
Rock Of Ages,
The All-In-All,
Aleph~Tav,
Alpha and Omega!
It is a Joy to Praise You,
because You Are So Awesome in Your Glory,
Endlessly Creative,
Infinitely Just and Righteous,
Eternally Holy and Pure,
Yet Incredible Patient and Forgiving,
Slow to Anger, and Full of Love!
Your Memorial Name that You Gave us for All Generations,
YHVH, I AM,
Declares Your Existence to the world.
You Are The Great I AM, The One and Only,
The Beginning and The End.

Thank You, Father,
for these wise sayings of Your Servant King Solomon!
For just as iron sharpens iron, Solomon's words,
inspired by Your Holy Spirit,
sharpen us as we read them centuries later!
Thank You for these Contrasting Couplets,
That Use and Ancient Form of Hebrew Poetry,
that reach across cultures, literature, and civilizations,
and speak to us as clearly as if they were written this morning!
Thank You for the sensible and practical advice about parenting,
About Your Holy Institution of Marriage,
About Finances,
About Gossip and Honesty,
and About our own Spiritual Walk,
Using simple analogies from Nature,
to which we all can relate no matter where or when we live.
Thank you for the colorful examples and similes,
The metaphors and comparisons,
that sometimes make us laugh,
But Always Teach Us Your Principles!
As a woman, I also that You Personally,
for not forgetting an entire half of Your Creation,
and giving me guidance in these Chapters as well.
Women appear all through these Proverbs,
As Virtuous Women of Valor,
Wonderful Working Wife and Mother
Nagging Wives,
Seductive Temptresses,
but Most Of All, As The Personification of Wisdom.
A Far Cry from other Cultures' treatment of my sex,
Especially considering the Era and Geographical Location!
More Affirmation of Your Love in a fallen world!

Abba Father, we Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem,
According to Your Stated Will and Promise.
We pray for Our Own Leaders,
That They will Heed Your Word,
And Attain Your Wisdom.
We pray That the Enemies of Your Will and Your Word and Your People
Will be Turned Back and Confused.
We pray this as we read Your Word and Seek Your Wisdom,
and wait for Your Glorious Appearing,
Till Messiah Comes,
Blessed be He,
And makes All Things Right.

The battle is still raging and the most powerful weapon will be used until ordered to cease.

Psalm 94

God the Avenger of the Righteous

1 O Lord, you God of vengeance,
you God of vengeance, shine forth!
2 Rise up, O judge of the earth;
give to the proud what they deserve!
3 O Lord, how long shall the wicked,
how long shall the wicked exult?

4 They pour out their arrogant words;
all the evildoers boast.
5 They crush your people, O Lord,
and afflict your heritage.
6 They kill the widow and the stranger,
they murder the orphan,
7 and they say, ‘The Lord does not see;
the God of Jacob does not perceive.’

8 Understand, O dullest of the people;
fools, when will you be wise?
9 He who planted the ear, does he not hear?
He who formed the eye, does he not see?
10 He who disciplines the nations,
he who teaches knowledge to humankind,
does he not chastise?
11 The Lord knows our thoughts,*
that they are but an empty breath.

12 Happy are those whom you discipline, O Lord,
and whom you teach out of your law,
13 giving them respite from days of trouble,
until a pit is dug for the wicked.
14 For the Lord will not forsake his people;
he will not abandon his heritage;
15 for justice will return to the righteous,
and all the upright in heart will follow it.

16 Who rises up for me against the wicked?
Who stands up for me against evildoers?
17 If the Lord had not been my help,
my soul would soon have lived in the land of silence.
18 When I thought, ‘My foot is slipping’,
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up.
19 When the cares of my heart are many,
your consolations cheer my soul.
20 Can wicked rulers be allied with you,
those who contrive mischief by statute?
21 They band together against the life of the righteous,
and condemn the innocent to death.
22 But the Lord has become my stronghold,
and my God the rock of my refuge.
23 He will repay them for their iniquity
and wipe them out for their wickedness;
the Lord our God will wipe them out.

Heavenly Father may you continue to bring an overwhelming, crushing defeat on the forces of darkness in our nation, may you smash every crooked deed they try to hold onto power and may this be so convincing that everyone knows that your hand is in this. Then we may bring the light of your Gospel to the nations as you did this time in history:

http://jn1838.blogspot.com/2010/02/battle-of-lepanto-battle-that-saved.html

May you block and undo every policy and piece of legislation they have passed that is harmful to this nation. This day we shatter the clay jar of Jeremiah 19 in their faces. May you punish those in our government who are lawless traitors by exposing them and deliver them into our hands for justice.

Hosea 13:11

11 I gave you a king in my anger, and I took him away in my wrath.

Thank You, DarthVader, For Your Prayers For The Peace of Jerusalem, and For Our Own Beloved USA. Just Before I Read YOUR Post, Hubby Mike said these words: "Obuma(sic) is like pharaoh. God hardens his heart, but then he is going to be removed." Then I read YOUR Scripture from Hosea! WOW!

He who scattered Israel will gather him, and will keep him as a shepherd keeps his flock.

(Jeremiah 31:10)

Father, continue to draw the Jewish people to You according to Your sovereign plan.

Prayers for the Peace of Jerusalem!
