As some of you know, my wife had a stroke last year but was recovering pretty well. Now her speech and memory are deteriorating again. I am also worried that I may lose one or both legs to infections that seem to pop up every two or three months now. Thankfully, I am a disabled vet, so I do have the VA hospital. On top of that, my 27 year old car is about to give up the ghost, which will make it very difficult to get her & myself to the doctor, grocery store and etc. We'd appreciate your thoughts and prayers in these troubling times and hope that you are well and prosperous.

Prayers for your and your wife, 2ndDivisionVet. I recall a FReepmail exchange a while back, and have had you in my prayers ever since. Is it possible to get a newer vehicle through a vets organization? I understand how critical it is to you to be able to get to the docs and stores.
I just gave him a call...
I don’t know of any program like that, and I think I would since I was a veteran’s rep. at the unemployment office for about 15 years.
