You say you are a “born again agnostic” and yet you take the time to post excerpts of Revelations (one of the most difficult books in the Bible to understand) with your interpretations. You sound like someone hungry for a good Bible Study class to dig into these verses and at least consider what great minds over thousands of years think about them.

"Watch what happens in 18 months."

Want to deed me your house (if you haven't already shed your earthly possessions in anticipation)?

I didn't think so. /s

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/When_was_Islam_founded

“Islam religion per God revelation of Quran to prophet Muhammad was founded by the start of Quran revelation by God to prophet Muhammad through the Angel Gabriel (Jibril) in Mecca (currently in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) in year 610 AD.”

By the way, what is a born again agnostic?

Someone who doesn't know what "born again" and "agnostic" mean.

You are missing my point.Christianity, Jewish and Islamic religions all consider Abraham in the ancestery of their respective beliefs. The split between jews and the philistenes was before the common era.Thats when Christianity took off.

Your point is well-taken but it is not relevant to this matter.
The point requiring further info. of post #12 is: `When did this `Islam’ begin?’ so that religious scholars could speculate that it—and not Abraham—was the Beast referenced in John’s `Revelations.’

What is meant by 'split'? And the Philistines were gone about 500 years before Jesus.

Beasts in Revelation are governments. The Mark of the Beast is a control mark that will signify ownership of persons by the “beast” or the controlling world government, and it is on the way. The temptation will be great to take the mark because man will not be able to buy or sell without it; and hunger will be very difficult. This is a hard saying; and we must throw ourselves on the mercy of God and call upon His (Yeshua, Jesus Christ, Yahweh’s son) name to be saved. He (the Antichrist) is also an evil, deceitbul man whose number is six hundred threescore and six, and anyone taking his number or mark is making a choice of the world and the government of man over the Kingdom of God. The Book of Revelation reads, “blessed is the man who READS this book” . . so I read it, and the Lord begins enlightening me spiritually as I read; same is true for all. I believe Ezekiel 38 is around the corner, too, as things are lining up and the battle lines are drawn. In that day, His feet will touch down on the Mount of Olives, just as he left this earth, and He is coming to reign in His Kingdom . .

Oh - and why do you think this “beast” with these heads is synagogues or churches and not instead MOSQUES? That seems more like it makes the most sense to me. I can think of no more AntiChrist religion than Islam; but I guess we will see.

Philistines were not Semites. They were related to Greeks.

Are you sure it is not the Greeks that are related to Arabs? We could argue this all day long but the truth of the matter is, the bible and Christianity is based on a rather small geographical area that was relatively ignorant of the other populations and religions around the world at that time.

There’s no arguing unless some new evidence has been found. Philistines were invaders from the Mediterranean and were not Semites like Jews and Arabs.

Egyptians and Jews were very familiar with cultures in places like Africa and South Asia, and certainly the cultures around the Mediterranean.

Churches that teach a False Gospel could be what you mean..

You can find those scriptures in Galatains and Colossians...

1.GALATIANS 4:15-What has happened to all your joy? I can testify that, if you could have done so, you would have torn out your eyes and given them to me.

2.Galatians 2:16: “Know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.”

Salvation is the *Cross* it is not about rituals, organized religion, the *Law*, it is about Christ and Christ alone...

ACTS 4:12
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved

Jesus commands those of us who believe that He is the Lord to minister to people who are genuinely interested in His teachings. Instead of berating this person for his belief system, we should do our best to answer his question.
