The system of mormonism, the doctrine and tenets, are an "enemy" to Christianity because they pervert and distort the Bible and God's word. That is what I judge in accordance with the Bible. Just because some folks don't have the stomach for it, does not absolve them of the responsibility to contend for the faith.
"Reading some of the posts here, I would worry about any Mormons that live nearby some of the posters."
Really? I better show your post to my mormon wife and son. They may want to take out a restraining order against me. But otherwise, would you care to show where someone posting has indicated they harbor ill will and/or physical malice towards mormons?
Would they harm or harass Mormons?
See my previous. Folks have been banned for suggesting the same. Be careful.
"If they claim to be practicing Christians, how do they reconcile that?"
Reconcile what? None have done anything you're implicating FReepers of being capable of.
For only having about a half dozen posts in 4 years you sure seem concerned all of a sudden that certain FReepers present some clear and present danger to mormons.
A concern troll perhaps? Put up or retract the offensive and vile assertions.
"I hope you dont find this a flame, merely an observation."
No, I don't find it a "flame", nor do I find it to be a "mere observation". I find it patently offensive that a purported "Christian" would make such scurrilous comments that have absolutely no basis in facts.
lol
thoroughly debunked - Nope. Not one bit.
a proven lie - Nope. Not one bit.
“Proven”, lol hardly pd
Are you going to tell me if you are PERFECT PD? Or are you ashamed?
LDS historian B.H. Roberts told about the lawsuit filed by some of Young's heirs: "During the three years presidency of the council of the twelve [after the death of Pres. Young] the affairs of the church quite generally were prosperous. Some difficulty arose, however, in the matter of settling the estate of the late President Brigham Young. Some claims were made by a number of the late presidents heirs respecting the possession of property that President Young held for the church as trustee-in-trust. It was alleged by them that President Young died seized of an estate valued at two and a half millions of dollars. This, however, was denied by his executors, and also by President John Taylor...that the property to which Brigham Young held the legal right or title was not worth over $1,626,000; and further they affirmed, that much of said estate was held by the testator in trust for the Church...and that Brigham Young was largely indebted at the time of his death 'and justly owed to said church over $1,000,000. " (Comprehensive History of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, vol. 5, by B. H. Roberts, p.524-525, BYU Press 1965)
