This one was from a different poster--also a "final" -- but a distinct earlier cycle from 2010. Many questions the same; but since several were distinct also highlighting those. On this thread, you'll note that the answers are in the first column -- more Jeopardy style. Below, I've turned the Q&As around from above so that the Qs are first. The questions are not numbered on the quiz...I numbered them below for easier reference, addressing them two-by-two:

John the Baptist said: He is the one who comes after me, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie.” (John 1:27) You see, NONE of us are worthy of Jesus Christ, who referenced his cousin, John the Baptist when he said: "Truly I say to YOU people, Among those born of women there has not been raised up a greater than John the Baptist..." (Matt. 11:11)
Most of the time, when the apostle Paul talked about worthiness, he tied it to either based upon something...
...GOD does (2 Thess. 1:11); or a Father-Son relationship (1 Thess. 2:11-12)
...something that GOD fills in our life (Col. 1:9-10);
...our faith in GOD (2 Thess. 1:4-5).
Perhaps the only verses where being "worthy" is treated the way the Mormons use it ALL the time is 1 Thess. 2 (particularly vv. 11-12). But when Lds leaders use this word, they rarely reference it as Paul does -- as that which GOD does in us -- or prompted by faith...which gives credit to the RECEIVER of that faith!
Worthy-this, worthy-that.

Hey, I've got real GOOD NEWS from the real GOSPEL for forthcoming Mormon missionaries:
(a) SIN: A word not commonly used by Mormons since Mormonism has a weak view of sin. "But all of us are guilty of sin to some degree" (Gospel Principles, p. 117). Instead of talking about sin, they use words such as bad habits, infractions, mistakes, and poor judgments. Christian: Any violation of God's commands, whether in thought, word, or deed. Includes any and all trespass, transgression, iniquity, wickedness, etc. Includes sins of omission (not doing what we are commanded) as well as commission (doing what we are commanded not to do). (b) Many Mormons concede their leaders are fallible. But here's the problem: Fallible people who know they're fallible, when they commit openly public sins, are encouraged to repent openly. Yet when will we see, if ever, a Mormon general authority publicly repent for something? (Like their decision to build a mall in Salt Lake City) Name me just once where you've seen that on anything! And yet here's a religion that supposedly stresses repentance?
We're all spiritually unhealthy and depraved [depraved doesn't mean being as bad as we can be; it's just no part of our being is untouched by sin]. Jesus levels the playing field before the cross by undercutting any spiritual pride that presumes we don't need Him as our great physician ("It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick...For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."--Mt 9:12) Jesus is for the person who understands the cancerous diagnosis of sin. Jesus is for the person who will openly confess their sin, their faults, their flaws openly -- insteading of trying to suppress others who highlight their leaders' religious duplicity.
The bottom line here again, though, is that the cross is for sinners...and sinners are simply never worthy of Christ's blood...never worthy of Jesus' righteousness extended on our behalf...never worthy of God's mercy or grace or lovingkindness. We're sinners; not lds "gods-in-embryo" (how Lds "prophets" describe Mormons). We're in need of the Great Physician; and if you're a "god-in-embryo" or a future "god," I'd say you're in a different category than either me, the thief on the cross, or Zaccheus the tax collector, wouldn't you? (No wonder they emphasize worthiness...they've got gods to create in their gods factory)
Ah, that ole "burnin' in the bosom" of Mormonism! The first of several "touchy-feely" questions. Mormon leaders have discovered if you can just get people to stay comfy in their feelings, then hey, THEY can do all the thinkin' for their grassroots members!

Much...WAY too much...is evaluated from within Mormons via how they subjectively FEEL. [Like the previous question, a "burning in the bosom" is a feelings-based guidance system]
Ah...even more feelings-focused. Only this time, since nobody undergoing this training can recall what those "feelings" were, the Mormon church leadership has to engage in forceful outright brainwashing! They have to tell them how each of them "felt" before they were born into a body! And remarkably, robotically, EACH and EVERY ONE OF THEM FELT THE EXACT TWO SAME EMOTIONS! (Excitement and gratefulness!) Wow! What a coincidence!!!

For you non-Mormons, "exaltation" = becoming a god in Mormonese. So Lds say you don't only have to become a male priest to become a god, but experience its "fullness."

I dunno, as a Catholic I have a problem with open repentance. Your sins are between you and God with a Priest as an emissary.
Public repentances ring hollow, - think Clinton.
Private sins = private confession
1 on 1 sins = go to that person
Family or small-group sins = keep it within those it impacted (book of James talks about "confessing your sins to one another")
Public sins = Public repentance
They are trained.

I read somewhere that if a non Mormon died, someone can baptize them thus making them a Mormon. For what purpose is that? Will they go on to become gods even without ever stepping foot inside a temple?
Now I would say that the knee-jerk reaction of many Mormons would be, "Of course not...baptizing dead spirits doesn't open up the door to godhood for them." [That's only reserved for faithful temple Mormons]
But you've hit upon something, Dragonblustar in which there actually IS a relationship -- a correlation -- between a dead person being necro-dunked by the Mormons -- and a person becoming a god!
(Now, I expect the Mormon readers to conclude that I'm really off-base here...but allow me to explain...I'm not talking about the dead spirits becoming gods at all...I'm talking about the worker-bees of the Mormon church...THEIR proposed "godhood" is all bound up in the baptizing -- NOT the dead-dunkers they are immersing by proxy!!!)

On post #3, I said: From the article: “Those Saints who neglect [temple work] in behalf of their deceased relatives, do it at the peril of their own salvation.” A key function of temples is to perform ordinance work for our deceased ancestors. When we think of temple ordinances and the necessity to do them perfectly, without error...“… For their salvation is NECESSARY AND ESSENTIAL TO OUR SALVATION...they without us cannot be made perfect—NEITHER CAN WE WITHOUT OUR DEAD BE MADE PERFECT” (D&C 128:5, 15;...).
So here, Sorensen was simply spouting OFFICIAL Mormon Doctrine as found in D&C128:5,15)!
Last October, I added:

(1) Jesus isn't enough to make people perfect. The dead "without us cannot be made perfect". Wow! Such spiritual elitism! Such gall! Jesus couldn't do it, but we as a group of Mormons can!
(2) And then Mormons have to earn their salvation by working for the dead with genealogical works out their gazoo ensued by drive-by, almost-fast-food like proxy baptisms being done in the temple ...otherwise their salvation is in "peril." This writer says it succinctly: "neither can we without our dead be made perfect." There ya go: The demons have convinced Mormons that dead ghostly spirits are the key to their perfection!
The "peril" Joseph Smith quote comes from this broader excerpt:
"This doctrine, he said, presented in a clear light, the wisdom and mercy of God, in preparing an ordinance for the salvation of the dead, being baptised [baptized] by proxy, their names recorded in heaven, and they judged according to the deeds done in the body. This doctrine was the burden of the scriptures. Those saints who neglect it, in behalf of their deceased relatives, do it at the peril of their own salvation. (Joseph Smith, Oct. 15, 1841, both in Times & Seasons...also quoted in one of the official Mormon church manuals as well as Ensign, "The Doctrine of Temple Work," p. 60...and also found in Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 193...)
Smith threatened his followers with their own salvation being at risk if they didn't dead dunk!
Joseph Fielding Smith came along as a later Lds "prophet" & claimed baptizing the dead was THE most important individual responsibility there is --again wrapping that responsibility up in their own works-driven salvation:
“But greater than all this, so far as our individual responsibilities are concerned, the greatest is to become SAVIORS, in our lesser degree which is assigned us, for the dead who have died without a knowledge of the Gospel. Joseph Smith said, ‘The greatest responsibility in this world that God has laid upon us, is to seek after our dead’…It will suffice here to say that the Lord has placed upon us this responsibility of seeing that our dead receive the blessings of the Gospel. Said Joseph Smith: ‘Those saints who neglect it, in behalf of their deceased relatives, do it at the peril of their own salvation.’” (The Way to Perfection, pp. 153-154)
Hence, another Lds "prophet" -- John Taylor-- proclaimed "This doctrine presents in a clear light the wisdom...we are the only people that know how to save our progenitors, how to save ourselves, and how to save our posterity in the celestial kingdom of God;...we in fact are the saviours of the world..." (Lds "prophet" John Taylor, Journal of Discourses, vol.6, p.163).
Hmmm...Jesus' blood, therefore, according to Mormons wasn't enough. His "Saviorhood" is outdone by Taylor's proclamation that "we in fact are the saviours of the world".
Utter idolatrous blasphemy!
