Try my favorite verses:
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

In my book

Any thoughts are your personal thoughts.

I did not say “Any doctrine.”

Considering the original post provided doctrine, it seems that as long as there is no antagonism, other doctrine would be OK.

Did Calvin say anything in that quote that offends Catholic sensibilities? If so, do explain, because I don’t see anything inflammitory.

Next time I will post it differently. Or make it a Catholic Caucus, but I wanted to get positive anecdotes about heaven and that is happened.

I don’t know if there will be dogs in heaven. We are supposed to be in a state of complete happiness and if dogs make you happy then maybe it will be so.

Personally I like dogs, but feel once I get to heaven I won’t care and will only want to be adoring my God for all eternity.

Please lock this thread. It is drifting away from the Guidelines for Ecumenical Threads and into antagonism.

Thank you.
