Ping: Any thoughts from The Flying Inmans?
I thought the show was fantastic. I got goose bumps when the author was discussing Revelation and the 12th Imam. The quoting of both “scriptures” was very educational especially the “mark of the beast”. I think when Beck said, “Know your religion”, he meant know the Christian version. Know the signs and read the bible. He also had his friend who is a Muslim and said that this part of extremism exists but not for good Muslims. It certainly made you think about Sharia law and how many of our politicians are “siding” with the evil one. IMHO.
Was the little baby crying? Or just showing off for the GA’s.
I can’t abide a view or a listen to that dumbass.
BTW, Richardson makes a lot of sense re: this matter IMO.
I've always been fascinated by the prophecy in the book of Revelations and thought Beck did a very good job of connecting the dots between radical Islam and the anti-Christ.
I've always contented that BO doesn't have the brains to actually be the anti-Christ, just a willing tool. Plus I've always thought that St. John's description of the anti-Christ pointed to an entity and not a single person.
Beck's analysis makes excellent sense when you consider that said entity is the unholy alliance between the far left and radical Islam. Both heads of this unholy alliance hate not only Christianity, but its roots (Judaism) and its results (Western Civilization).
I caught it yesterday. I thought it was real journalism because he went into an area that everyone is afraid to go.
From an orthodox Christian POV, he was right on— although he failed to mention that the church will not be on earth when the anti-Christ is revealed (at least I didn’t hear it).
As far as Islam, I didn’t know specifically that it paralleled Christianity to that degree. But his show did underscore the problems Islam has with textual criticism and canonicity of their writings. There is NO WAY they will reconcile it because they have no standard in which to include/exclude the many hadiths.
As the Christian author pointed out; the majority of orthodox muslims hold that all the hadiths are divine, therefore they cannot be excluded.
The 12th Imam is the Antichrist. The characteristics and actions of the Antichrist in the Bible match up to what the 12th imam does in the koran.
My faith (Lutheran) teaches that the book of Revelation is apocalyptic literature, not a presentation of concrete things that will happen. The creatures and numbers are symbolic and are to be understood by believers, but remain a mystery to others. We believe we have been in end times since Christ returned to heaven. He will come back again - but only once, not twice like those following Reformed theology believe.
With that background said, I believe the Antichrist (Satan) is always present and a force to be dealt with in then life of a Christian. The forms he takes can be any false god you choose. Some Muslims have chosen to worship the 12th Imam, a false god and therefore a Satanic entity. So yes, the 12th Imam is of the Antichrist.
I think it is very important that we not only understand our own faiths, but that we understand the faith of those in opposition to us. We must understand who the Twelvers think this being is and all the mythology around it so we can understand and predict their behavior.
I saw it, I’m convinced he’s right on, Glenn is taking big risks pointing this out, my the Good Lord protect him.
As a Mormon my thoughts are thus:
The belief by some (okay many) Mormons that the Catholic Church is the “Great and Abominable Church” put into print in McConkie “Mormon Doctrine” has never sat right with me.
I know plenty of Catholics that are without a doubt Christian. I don’t look at churches themselves, I look at people. The physical church or designated denomination is less important to HIM than where your heart and spirit are.
There are many self professed “Christians” that by their deeds and actions aren’t Christian, and many “non-Christians” including Catholics, Protestants, and (gasp) Mormons, who very much are Christian. But that is a different topic.
Over the years I’ve grown more and more into the belief that the Great and Abominable Church, the Church of the Devil, is Islam.
Doing my own research, and praying, about the 12th Imam I found pretty much the same things Glenn said on his show.
I can pretty much say without hesitation that the 12thm Imam, the Mahdi, is the Anti-Christ and that Islam is the Church of the Devil.
Anyone that would support Islam risks being counted in their number when the day of reckoning arrives.
I don’t think Beck has anything to worry about.
The 12th man is usually never needed. Why do Texas A&M fans stubbornly hold onto this tradition??
Oh wait.....
It says 12th IMAM. My bad.
Sorry.... Never mind.
The Mahdi or the 12th Imam is a branch of Shi’ite Islamic belief, not Sunni. The twelvers are the largest branch of the Shi’ites. Khomeini, the founder of present day Islamic Iran was a twelver as are the current leaders of Iran.
While what he represented on his show is a good start he muddles the difference between sunni cultists and shiite culists by lumping them all together.
Islam is not a religion, despite Beck’s statement.
I recommend reading “Allah is Dead. Why Islam is not a religion.” by Rebecca Bynum.
The most striking point that Beck made was the assertion by the crazy Ayatollah Khomeini that “12ers” were too dangerous to be allowed to have any power and that Khomeini had some of the “12ers” killed or imprisoned.
Interesting show that paralleled his rumors of war movie. It was a good show. But sometimes, websites like this one have been ahead of him and exposed it before hand. However, his take is unique.
I think he is right that there are three groups wanting global domination - United Nations and friends pushing a new world order, Communists/Socialists/Statists wanting to destroy capitalism and finally Islam and the implementation of the Caliphate and Sharia Law.
So there is a lot of nefarious things going on.
