Sobering, indeed.
Thx.
That is way too accurate for comfort.
Chuck Colson is not one I would expect to be prone to fancy.
The situations he described read like today’s headlines, especially the stuff about Saudi Arabia, Turkey, & Egypt and the price of oil.
Tons of things to do.
However, time is short . . . a watchman’s duty has priority.
Folks need to wake-up and get right with God ASAP.
Yeah.
Willful blindness is a serious mental health issue but it’s more a serious spiritual issue.
Interesting read about your aforementioned here:

The lady claims to have seen the Lord; that would make her an apostle.
If you cant apply Christ’s words to extra-biblical prophecies then those verses I cited are useless. Either we have been told all things by Him and his apostles or not.
Sola Sciptura doesn’t just apply to the Papists.
The only thing that worries me about Chuck Colson’s vision, or whatever it was, is I don’t know if he actually had a vision or if this was a literary device to drive home another, larger, point. I suspect it was an actual vision, but I could see where some might say otherwise. Does anyone know if Colson ever clarified if this was a true event that he was referring too or if it was something else?
I need to go re study the passage about sons prophesying in the last days.
All things sufficient to establish and maintain one’s relationship with God through Christ’s Blood walking in His Spirit.
“all things” can have layers of meaning.
I’d have thought that layers of meaning was something RC folks were extremely familiar with.
Sounds like, in this case, you’re trying to insist that it also includes the particular spin of each and every electron in each and every atom in each and eery material object in all creation.
And who should mary whom on what day in what place and when they should have marital relations for precisely how many minutes and microseconds long etc. etc. etc.
Sheesh.
Paul makes clear in I Cor 12-14 . . .outlining the proper functioning of a normal church meeting . . .
that there will be prophetic utterances and words of knowledge and words of wisdom.
Those are obviously not EnScripturated nor meant to be.
Sheesh what ignorance abounds about such issues.
My take on reading it was that it was a genuine dream he had.
I think he’d have given more clues to such if it were a literary device.
He’s been an exceedingly candid straight shooter after his conversion.
Redeemed Convicts learn they have nothing to lose and all to gain by being straightforward.
INDEED TO THE MAX.
Sheesh what duplicitous idiocies abound from the Vatican Cult.
Remember that Sola Scriptura only means it must be proven or supported by scripture.
Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
More study needed for me to come down on one side or the other.
Thanks.
Have made it through half of it, fast. Will try to make it through the rest.
That’s the one. There’s something odd about it though, I’m not sure that Perry has interpreted it correctly. Time for me to go back and study it further.
That’s my take on it as well, I’m just trying to ensure that I’ve done my best to check every angle before saying “this one seems legit”. You know, being a Berean and all that. ;)
The woman at the well saw Jesus. She wasn't an Apostle.
The woman who touched His garment saw Him. She wasn't an Apostle.
The woman with the alabaster jar of perfume touched Him. She wasn't made an Apostle.
God calls WHOM HE WILL to be Apostles.
What an idiotic clueless idea that all who see Jesus become Apostles.
Truly the Vatican Alice In Wonderland School Of Theology, Reality Mangling, Chronic Professional Blaming, Wailing and Whining Cult has burped gaseous nonsense yet again!
I hold lots of things loosely until
THE LORD CONFIRMS THEM.
I also try and avoid throwing babies out with the bath water.
That’s hard on precious baby gems.
