Ok, when exactly is Jesus coming back? This week? This year? This decade? The next 30 years? The next 50 years? During your children’s lifetime?

When is the latest date that he will return? And if he doesn’t return by then, will you lose your faith?

Ahhhhhhh

Understand.

Thx.

Some also think the 6th day war in 1967 might be in play, too.

My bias is 1948.

Stan Deyo has evidently been successfully “unlocking” some interesting passages in Daniel.

I haven’t gotten his book yet.

Should order it.

Rev. Franklin Graham: Japan Quake May Be Beginning Of Second Coming

Maybe Pittsburgh's loss to Butler might be the beginning of the Second Coming.

Hey, Franklin, a little humility, please.

I don’t know, however I think he will return on or before 2018...

That is my thought, based on my understanding of the scriptures.

I don’t know,

That's right. You don't.

however I think he will return on or before 2018...

When I first became a Christian everyone was convinced that Jesus would be coming back before 1975. Then it was moved to 1980. Then it was moved to 1987. Then a lot of the people who came to the Lord when I did, lost their faith altogether when it didn't happen in 1987.

but nobody has learned from history. You don't know anything about when the Lord is coming back. Nobody does. Oh, you can point to some obscure verses in the bible and pretend that today's headlines are somehow tied to the events in Daniel or Ezekiel, but you don't know.

For all we know the Israel that exists today could be destroyed and replaced in 100 years by another Israel. Would you lose your faith if Israel were to suddenly fall and become an Islamic Caliphate? Or would you admit that your predictions about the end times were obviously wrong and move on and live your life as if Christ was coming tomorrow but may not come for a thousand years?

Where on earth do you get 2018 from? What specific event that has happened now convinces you that Christ must come before 2018? The fact of the matter is that you don't know, so stop trying to pretend that you do.

My faith is not contigent wether Jesus comes back today or in 200 years...

I know I will see Jesus either when he returns to earth in my lifetime, or at my physical death.

Pretend is an odd word to use, but okay....

As I said..The Prophetic Clock started in 1948 and 2018 fullfills the prophetic last week spoken by Daniel...

I am not predicting the date, that is my thought, based on my understanding of scripture...

That's the same nonsense I fell for in 1974. Sorry, but that play has been used over and over again. If the Daniel Propetic Clock is running, then it would have run out 7 years after it started. From what I was taught originally, the prophetic clock ran out in 1987. In fact, I heard my pastor (a very well known bible teacher) say in 1974 that if Christ did not return by 1987, that he would stop believing in the Bible. Well 1987 came and went and he's still preaching, but he doesn't seem to remember that prediction. I do. I was there and I knew the moment he said it that he was going to live to regret it. And he did.

So a generation is now what? 70 years? It was 40 before. Maybe you'll move it out to 80 years or 120 years. The fact of the matter is that whether or not the clock in Daniel is running is known only to God.

I predict that in 2019, you will be changing your tune and moving the date out to 2028 or 2038. I suspect that my prediction is at least as good as yours. My prediction is based on 40 years of watching Christians make fools of themselves by predicting the date on which Christ is going to return.

I don’t think Christians make fools out of themselves, because they look for the return of Jesus Christ....

I think he will be here by that date, that is what I believe, I am not asking you to believe the same..

You can believe what you like...

Quix, evidently, interacting with you and reading your posts serves a refining function in the lives of some.

I once told a wise friend, “That guy brings out the worst in me.”

She replied, “But, the worst in you was there, waiting to be brought out.”

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Bringing out the worst in folks . . . like a fiery furnace . . . pondering . . .

Welllllllllllll . . . perhaps being a functionally mild version of folks’ pending fiery furnaces has a very redemptive function . . .

I know there’s a TON of fiery furnaces I’d have rather traded in on relating to someone through squiggles on a screen on the net—in order to get my worst surfaced and ladeled off as dross.

Maybe FR could charge for the service and give the beleagured, tireless RM some income???

For two thousand uninterrupted years, Jews have hated Jesus Christ, and our LORD says to hate Him is to hate God. Throughout the Old Testament, when Jews were against God, He smacked them down until Repentance. Here you suggest that God changes His ways so that He rewards them while they are still in their rebellion and hatred of His son.

Respectfully, you dont know the Jewish position at all. We Jews have not "hated" the man from Nazareth. He did not fulfill the requirements of messiah and he is not a divine god-man. Hate? No, other than a hatred of the doctrine that spawned 2000 years of slaughter of Jews in his name. Roman wars, Crusades,Inquisitions, Pogroms, expulsions, blood libels and the anti-jewish ramblings of Martin Luther that were repeated by the Nazi's in Nuremberg, leading up to the holocaust. Christians have given the Jews plenty to hate. G-d is consistent in his treatment of the Jewish people. G-d smacked down the Jewish people for idolatry. Persuing other gods. Like the Roman god-man Jesus.

Furthermore, when Hitler and his boys were shoving Jews into ovens by the millions there wasn't this literal "Come To Jesus" revival among the Jews. If merciless genocidal slaughter didn't do it then, what has fundamentally changed to make the threat rather than reality of it change today?

So, you are saying the holocaust should have brought them to Christ? Is that some kind of joke? The Jews in the holocaust did not perish for rejecting Jesus, they were slaughtered because of the sins of the gentiles. When they were being stuffed into ovens, they were not bearing their own sin but the sins of the gentiles who were murdering them. G-d NEVER authorized the gentile nations to slaughter the Jews. And G-d will judge the gentile nations for going way to far in their treatment of the Jewish people.

G-d is pleased with much of Israel and there clearly is a holy remnant. There is more Torah learning in Israel today than perhaps at anytime since or incuding biblical days. So, the miracles of the 1948, 1967, 1973 and other wars is not bring about revival for Jesus but to show the world, G-d is with His people. It should make the nations review their false belief systems, not the Jews.

G-d will deal with the secular Jews in Israel but it sure wont be through Jesus, who is not coming back, you can forget about that. He had his chance and the Tanach(OT) NEVER says there will be a second coming to finish the job. Furthermore, no one can even be considered messiah until ALL the messianic prophecies have occurred, past tense. Only then will we know he is not a false messiah, like the man from Nazareth.
