One and two go hand in hand.

A graven image is an idol. As well, other idols (graven images?) include but are not limited to - Money, job, car, boat, anything placed in a higher position than God. You money, if more important than God, is a god before Him.

I don't get it.  How can there be spirits visiting anyone?

Mormon author Joseph Heinerman: "The inhabitants of the spirit world have received special permission to visit their mortal descendants and assist them and impress upon their minds the primary importance of assimilating genealogical information and performing vicarious ordinance work in the temples." (Source: Preface to Heinerman's book, Spirit World Manifestations)

Liar - Deceiver - Fraud

Luke 16:19-31 (King James Version)

19There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

20And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

21And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

 22And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

23And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

24And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

25But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

26And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

27Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

28For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

29Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

30And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

31And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

I will be happy to be with God. I can’t even imagine eternity without him. That would be hell.

You forget that God DOES give the gift of dreams, as the Bible says, the two Josephs, both of the OT and NT is proof.

Right, but we know they are true because they came to pass, a prophet is known by his word that comes to pass whether it came to him in a dream or by other means if what he says don,t come to pass he is not a prophet.

If we paid heed to every one who said they had dreams of the future or could foretell what was going to happen because they saw it in a dream, we just as well forget about the word of God which we claim to believe in and follow after those dreamers.

With all of the dreamers, diviners, witch,s and etc i wonder why God mistakenly thought we needed his word for anything.

Please read that book with all the doctor’s statistics and then you tell me.

I have read things concerning the death or near death experience, and i don,t take no stock in it, not that some of it is not true as it is seen by the teller, maby a sign to them but if it was to be taught it would be in the Bible.

One time, I was traveling, joined a crowded Mass wherever I was that evening ... and heard an elderly priest give this as His explanation of the "happiness" of Heaven. Perhaps he was all wrong, but it struck a serious note with me and has stayed with me through the years.

Roughly, he likened the feeling of happiness a young teen or someone very "in love" feels when they anticipate seeing and finally see their "love".

One could feel this anticipation or satisfaction when referring to the Happiness of Heaven multiplied by thousands.

Almost all of us have experienced that wonderful feeling and I have remembered it always.

I "speak" to my deceased husband often and ask him this very question, not for any reason of apologetics ... but in anticipation of someday seeing him again, even though I know that that may not be a part of Heaven's Happiness.

For my own part, I have always remembered this simple explanation ... not any part of real apologetics, but reasonable for me.
