He's Alive and I'm Forgiven! Heaven's Gates are Open Wide!
"He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay." (Matthew 28:6)
Great song! Thanks OW.
Day with son and grandson yesturday....sweet!
1 Peter 1:3-5
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”
I love that one.
I was just listening to this song yesterday. Thanks for posting.:)
Amen dear FRiend.
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
As the storms grow darker around us, we have a hope and a light in the midst of it all.
He is risen!
He is risen indeed!
That’s wonderful caww! Hope you had a wonderful visit.
The song, He’s Alive is so powerful and beautifully performed by Dolly Parton that it needs to be shared this weekend.
Have a blessed Easter my FRiend.
You’re welcome. It’s so moving and toward the last, honestly Dolly Parton breaks out in worship herself...
He’s alive! And I’m Forgiven!
I watched this when it aired originally on the CMT awards...I believe it was CBS that had the awards show that year (1989). Anyway, I could not believe what I was seeing and hearing. Things were not bad yet but you just didn’t see open worship to Jesus on Prime Time T.V. even at that time. I balled like a baby LOL....and it is just as moving today.
An amazing celebration of victory!
