I’ve met the flawed man.That’s not one of his flaws. He’s not accepted a single penney from his ministry. He’s a total volunteer. He retired from being a Civil Engineer, IIRC.

I never met a con man I didn't like. I was on the Board of Directors of a local not-for-profit whose Executive Director didn't take a salary but embezzled the place for more than $500,000.

I’ve certainly lost count on the number of times I’ve been wrong long ago.

However . . .

Camping’s personality is just not like that.

I think he’d be more likely to give his shirt for the cause and go down gladly in flames . . . FOR THE CAUSE.

I’d expect him to be scrupulously honest to the point of absurdity. e.g. knocking on neighbors doors to see if the nickle on the sidewalk was theirs.
