Title of the chief chamberlain of the Vatican. He is in charge of all daily personal services of the Pope, e.g., household affairs, Vatican guards, and petitions for audiences. He makes arrangements for pontifical ceremonies and is custodian of the Fisherman's Ring.

I believe that translates to something close to “master of the box”; I’m listening to Alice In Chains “Man In The Box” now, but I’m sure it doesn’t have any relation.
