So they are perfectly willing to destroy society, break laws, and overwhelm their own country in order to increase church membership. And people wonder why so many have stopped going to church!

Well this is just it -- and why the true church of Jesus Christ must counter the counterfeit cults like the Mormon church...as well as reform itself from liberal erosion.

The mormon church jumps on the "amnesty" bandwagon so they can continue to build membership numbers.

They send missionaries all over the world. Why would they need 'amnesty' to build their numbers?

...for an uncertain future in country that is unfamiliar to them.

This concept applies to all immigration. Why is this phrase only used by journalist's sob stories when referring to people leaving the US?

You're kidding, right? Are you aware of the numbers of illegal immigrants flooding the country? Why would they NOT sign them up?

"As Mormons, we believe most Hispanics (and Amerindians) possess some degree of Lamanite ancestry, although we now acknowledge that the Lamanites and the Nephites were not the only people living in the Western Hemisphere between 600 B.C. until the finale at Cumorah in 384 A.D., the time period covered in the Book of Mormon. As a result, outreach to Hispanics and Amerindians has always been a special-interest item since the establishment of the Church."

I don’t doubt that they want to ‘sign them up.’ I don’t believe they need amnesty to do it nor do I think that people can only become Mormons if they are residing in the US. They can become or stay Mormon when they are back home as well.

"This case reminds us all of the need to address immigration reform," said Scott Trotter, senior media relations manager for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in a statement...

Well, just like everything else they toss their statements of faith under the bus -

12. We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.

Just what part of ILLEGAL does Mr. Trotter not understand?

You’d think that Mormons, with their current solicitude for image despite the deadly feuds of centuries ago, would be squeaky clean in this matter. That they would honor the proper secular protocols for bringing in foreign nationals that are tied to their religious missions. I couldn’t disagree more with their theology (which looks like an Asimov sci-fi novel stuck in the middle of a King James bible), but any religious group knows it has to deal with these issues. This is not counting angels on a pinhead.

Forgive me if I don't join the cheerleading here. But this is the ObaMao administration, remember?

This is the equvalent of shuttering swimming pools, libraries and police stations in the summer to give the illusion of fiscal responsibility so the crooks in local government can push for tax increases.

Meanwhile, the do-nothings in administration continue to collect their fat salaries and bennies.

Meanwhile, the welcome mat is still out for the gang bangers, La Raza activists and welfare cheats. Can anyone say "selective enforcement"?
