He was a rising star in the "gay rights" movement, but Michael Glatze now declares not only has he given up activism – he's no longer a homosexual.
Glatze – who had become a frequent media source as founding editor of Young Gay America magazine – tells the story of his transformation in an exclusive column published today by WND.
Although Glatze cut himself off from the homosexual community about a year and a half ago, he says the column likely will surprise some people.
"This will actually be news to anybody I used to relate to," he told WND.
The radical change in his life, Glatze recalls, began with inner "promptings" he now attributes to God.
"I hope I can share my story," he said. "I feel strongly God has put me here for a reason. Even in the darkest days of late-night parties, substance abuse and all kinds of things – when I felt like, 'Why am I here, what am I doing?' – there was always a voice there.
"I didn't know what to call it, or if I could trust it, but it said 'hold on.'"
Glatze said he became aware of homosexual feelings at about the age of 14 and publicly declared himself "gay" at age 20. Finally, after a decade in which his leadership role in the homosexual activist world grew – but alongside it, a mysterious inner conflict – he says he finally was "liberated."
In fact, he writes in his WND column today, "'coming out' from under the influence of the homosexual mindset was the most liberating, beautiful and astonishing thing I've ever experienced in my entire life."

We need to pray always for these guys and gals who leave the clutches of homosexuality. It looks to me like these folks sometimes have a difficult time transitioning back into heterosexual society, thanks to the contempt of gays and the mistrust of straights.
I’m praying, too, that conservative Christians and Jews can stop the school propaganda that this behavior is just an alternative lifestyle or genetic predisposition.
And I fervently pray that I never have to sit through the funeral of another dear friend caught up in the special hell that is homosexuality. These men and women are so prone to depression, substance abuse, and suicide that if they were any other group, we would be trying to change their lifestyle, not affirm and protect it.
And the homosexuals and their enablers are going:

I wouldnt be surprised if there were a multitude of genes that contribute to many different kinds of sins. However through Christ, all of them are ultimately defeated. In Heaven, they are non-existent.
Homosexuality is a disorder just like depression or alcoholism. The difference is, as a society, we’ve tried to treat alcoholism, depression, etc.
The left, in their infinite cruelty, have fought to “normalize” homosexuality, in the hopes that it might wreak further destruction and suffering.
I have long maintained that homosexuality is merely another fetish. Like being “into” BDSM, feet, leather, rubber... whatever. Do people “choose” to have a foot fetish? No... and yes. I don’t think people are “born” with any particular proclivity, but a life of exposure to various stimuli, combined with and influenced by the myriad of micro-choices we make every day eventually trains the mind to take on a set of traits. The mind is shaped by the constant thinking that we do. So no, there’s no particular moment in time that somebody “chooses” to become gay or to become a pain fetishist. But that makeup is shaped by the billions of thoughts and feelings that have developed up to that time.
But wait! The singer (if you can call her that) “LADY GAGA”, sings that people are “born that way”.
Certainly we can take advice from “LADY GAGA”, can’t we??? As a spokesman for the liberal cause of the day, she must be a true visionary on the subject. (sarcasm)
I think you’re on to something, but I really believe that ANY person can enter the realm of homosexual behavior given the right circumstances. Some have more desire than others to go that route, but it so obvious that it is NORMAL, HEALTHY behavior to be involved in heterosexual relationships. It is criminal that the mainstream belief about homosexuality is that it is a normal way of life. No, it is a road to destruction, and even if you don’t believe in a religious basis that opposes it, observation of mankind demonstrates that much.

That's an interesting position, but in my observation, some people are just born with their wiring crossed. Homos have existed in every culture throughout human history. Most of those cultures were male dominated and highly paternal. They didn't push boys to be girls, or vice versa, but those kinds of people showed up from time to time anyway.
Our modern culture has become morally degraded, and certain of those degraded elements now have such undue influence, that they can pressure children into choosing a deviant lifestyle.
My bet is that the subject of this article is one such person.
I was considering how it appears every institution in American life has been corrupted and was wondering how can it ever get back on the right track.
Then it dawned upon me that it isn’t just this generation or the last few that is corrupt, but every human being other than Jesus Christ who is fundamentally corrupt.
The solution, as with all things we face, is simply provided to us by God.
The problem of how to return to righteousness in a just manner without being scarred by corruption is the very heart of the Gospel.
Searching to identify thinking like homosexuality with normalcy is simply a vain search to avoid accountability.
Everybody has some sort of corrupt thinking in them. This doesn’t keep us from turning to God, through faith in what He provides, so that He provides the righteous and just path for us to live with Him. This is possible because of what Jesus Christ has done and His living action.

Trauma caused mental illnesses show up in every culture. Just because humans react similarly to similar environmental factors (being abused, having an absent or insufficient relationship with one's father etc) does not mean that the illness is genetic (or biological in any way).
I don't believe that that particular illness is physical in nature, nor does it have anything to do with genetics (gay gene?). No, I believe that it's a spiritual malady, which is why it's possible for one to overcome it.
