Good luck with everything

Are you a superstitious Mormon?

What does "luck" have to do with reality in a world run by a sovereign god? Or since you worship a god who can't be everywhere at once, is it that you have to rely upon luck and trust luck?

I know your heart aches for not being able to live the commandments. I know its hard and takes discipline.

Reaganaut, notice the almost palm-reading type of comment we see here with the pure assumptions this stranger makes about your life.

This is the typical "blame game" Mormons engage in. If you've become a Jack Mormon or an ex-Mormon, the problem they assume is that it's you (plural).

Notice how the Lds "prophet" Spencer W. Kimball did this in his book that I have -- President Kimball Speaks Out (1981, Deseret Book Company, which is owned by the Mormon church): "If you are bored at a testimony meeting, there is something the matter with you, and not with others." (Kimball, p. 22)

Ya hear that Ben? Ya hear that all Lds? If you've EVER -- even one time -- been bored at an Lds testimony meeting. Why it's NEVER been in the history of Mormonism because of some flighty Mormon(s) or over-emotional Mormons or I've-said-this-same-testimony 1,000 times Mormon or pick-your-fave-boring-testimony Mormon.

Nope, said Kimball. 'Twas you! 'Cause YOU, Mr. or Mrs. Grassroots Mormon, says the "prophet" on high, are ALWAYS the problem...says Kimball...and says this same attitude that Mormons like Ben come to show based upon Mormon leader models like Kimball!

Maybe some day you will come back or at least let go of the hatred.

More assumptions of Reaganaut.

Beyond repeating what the Bible universally says about all people, do you always go around yielding specific moral judgments involving complete strangers? Or is that something you've reserved for Reaganaut on this thread?

How is it that in 1 Samuel 16:7 it says that man only looks at the outer part, but somehow YOU are able to 100% size up Reaganaut's INNER heart when you don't even know her? Doesn't it say that ONLY God sees the inner person there? Yes?

Don't you think you owe Reaganaut an apology? Is this the way you treat non-Mormons in your community? If you were ever an Lds missionary -- or plan on becoming one, would this have been the way you treated non-Mormons during your mission? You just go around and assume they are hateful?

Can't somebody come to disagree with something without attributing an inner motive of hate to that person?

Let's give a parallel example: If a poster was a former lesbian; and commented on a thread about homosexuality, what would you think of a homosexual poster who assumed the ex-lesbian was automatically hateful just because they now spoke out vs. homosexuality?

What can you expect? All they are doing is parroting what they are told are the reasons people leave. Mormons are not taught to think for themselves.

To be fair, I said the same things about ‘apostates’ when I was LDS, then I found out that the reasons I were given for why people leave Mormonism were just more lies told to me by the LDS church.
