Argentinian-born evangelist Luis Palau preached in the southeast coastal city of Marseille, France on Saturday, concluding his three-day Christian outreach festival.
The Luis Palau festival in Marseille was unique in that on Saturday the message was picked up by a satellite channel with millions of viewers. Palau spoke in Spanish while his interpreter translated his message into French.
Every night the festival, which began June 30, was taped for delayed transmission to Francophone Africa, the Middle East on CAN, and France on Dieu TV. Standing on the beaches of Plage du Prado, Palau preached about the Good News found in Jesus Christ.
The Luis Palau festival is the first event of its kind to be sponsored by the city of Marseille. Like other Palau fest, there were children’s activities, concert-like music, soccer, and preaching.
“We’re so used to having evangelical events and opportunities in [the United States], that we just take it for granted. We’re on the radio, we’re on the TV, in print, and all the things that we normally do which you really can’t do in France,” said Colin James of the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association to MNN.
“The opportunities are very limited and constrained because of the culture and just the way the country has been run. It’s not an evangelical-based country.”
According to the CIA World Factbook, less than 2 percent of France’s population is Protestant Christian.
“Please pray that God will continue to pour our His Spirit in Marseille. Pray that the believers, especially the new ones as a result of this festival, will experience a radical transformation in their lives and live totally for Christ,” read the latest posting for the Marseille festival on the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association website.
Europe doesn't have to become eurabia. Christians need to evangelize.
Luis Palua is a personal hero of mine. Going into a Muslim nation like France and evangelizing? Praise God for brave men like this.

We pray that many, including those of the Muslim faith listened to the truth of Jesus Christ, that God loves them and wants them for His own.
May God continue to have His hand of protection on Luis as we know he is more than willing to go wherever God opens a crack in the door for him.
Praise God for men like him! We need him to preach in Mexico, maybe he could stop the violence there. We need him in America as well. Europe can become Christian again—I believe she will in time. He is needed in Holland, Germany and England too. Europe must seek a new relationship with Christ.

I rejoice anywhere The Gospel is preached and the lost come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Europe is not as dangerous as the middle east, but if Christians don't evangelize there these weak kneed agnostics/atheists will soon be dominated by the strong willed muslims that are migrating there. Evangelizing there accomplishes a lot.

That the home of John Calvin is less than 2 percent Protestant Christian is so sad. Praise the Lord for Luis Palau. He can preach boldly knowing that some of His sheep are surely to be found in France. Christ said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
The French Protestants were persecuted and left for other countries. Some came here.

I have found Muslims to be somewhat open to hearing about Jesus. They are religious people.
In my limited experience it can be very challenging, but rewarding.
France is also the homeland of the great St. Francis de Sales, who exposed Calvin’s lies and heresies. Also, the great St. John Vianney, St. Joan of Arc, St. Hilary of Poitiers, St. Irenaeus, St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, St. Therese of the Child Jesus, Blessed Basil Moreau, etc., etc. Also, Fr. Stephen T. Badin, the first priest ordained in the United States. Also, the incredible Fr. Edouard F. Sorin, C.S.C., founder of Our Lady’s University in Indiana. Also, the greatest churchman of the post-WWII era, Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre. St. Dominic crushed the Albigensian heresy in France. Our Lady the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to Bernadette Sobirous at Lourdes.
The French Revolution and freemasonry have tried to sweep authentic Christianity out of France. They’ve come close, but they haven’t yet succeeded. If you ever get to Paris, attend church at St. Nicholas du Chardonnet (one block from the Maubert-Mutualite stop on the No. 10 Metro line). One of the best religious experiences you’ll ever have.

Roman Catholics killing Christians to maintain a Roman Catholic hegemony. Now look where it led, a country that is agnostic/atheist and is seeing an influx of muslims. A Roman Catholic populace that does not even know what The Gospel is let alone how to evangelize. Roman Catholics should be thanking God for sending men like Luis Palau to countries like France. The only hope for peace is for The Gospel to reach the lost.

I was once an anti catholic who believed the church was " the whore of babylon". I left the church went to the independent churchs. Then I would take my mother to Catholic Mass. In time I realized how biblical it was as the priest spoke. We have a confession of faith like in the epistles read unless we confess Jesus Christ as Lord. Yes we confess every sunday Mass with the nicene creed which declares 1john4. A sign of a true Church.
I went to alot of different churchs. No not one other churchs made a practice to confess every week. I could go on and on.
But one thing the Lord showed me was how people who claim to be bible only get there ideas outside and interpreted by other books then go back to justify with said verse from the books. If they were really solo. Just reading bible without outside false influences they never would of come up with anti-nonsense. When I read the bible only thats how I came in full knowledge of what the Church meant.
If you want to believe what they believed, go ahead, we Christians (Catholics, Lutherans, Orthodox, Anglicans, Presbyterians etc.) will continue to believe in the continuity of God from Genesis to Revelation

We Christians will continue believing that the words in the Old Testament continue into the new and we won't believe like your cult that Yhwh was just a demiurge and a false god.
