Carl Marx Monument Dismantled in Penza [Russia] to Free Space for Future Cathedral

Penza, July 14, Interfax - Monument to Carl Marx at the Sovetskaya Square in downtown Penza was dismantled as a cathedral will be erected instead of it, the Penza Diocese told Interfax.

"A part of the Savior Cathedral will occupy this part of the square, its construction is underway," the interviewee of the agency said.

A foundation pit for the church building will soon be excavated.

The decision to move the monument was taken by the city administration. It was planned to transfer it to Carl Marx Street.

World's first monument to Marx was set up in Penza on May 1, 1918, but it broke down as it was made of clay. In November 1960, a new monument was erected here: it was a two-meter bronze bust on a six-meter granite stand.

The cathedral complex will be built on the place of the church built in 1800-1824 and blown up in 1934.

This is a fine outcome.

I propose building an outhouse over Ted Kennedy’s grave, so that we can follow Russia’s lead in putting superior things over inferior things.

I’d love to get rid of that a-hole, too. I wonder how well that thing is bolted to the ground? You could “borrow” a semi tractor, a bunch of chains, tie the chains to the back of the tractor frame, wrap the other end of the chains around that effer, kick the tractor in the lowest low gear and slowly pull him off the sidewalk. Once off of the sidewalk and onto the street drag his @$$ up to the University Bridge on I-5 and then drop him into Lake Union.

You’d see the Leftists across the nation and around the world FLIP OUT!

Then leave the tractor and make a quick escape in a waiting car. LOL!

Be sure to video the whole thing and post it to GoogTube! LOL!

Obama has asked that it be shipped to the Whitehouse so he can display it with pride on the front lawn...

it was a two-meter bronze bust on a six-meter granite stand.

Considering the value of bronze these days I say sell it for scrap. A proper end where a combination of capitalism and religion dispose of Marx once and for all.

That thing is bronze, isn’t it? Good for thousands at
one of the SoDo scrap metal yards...

Actuall it was sold to Obama. He is secretly having it moved here for after his re-election. He plans to replace the Iwo Jima Monument.

I seriously would like to see him try. I have a feeling that a few Marines (as in all those still breathing) might have something to say about that. All out street brawl code pink and the DU Crew against the USMC. Heck just selling the pay per view on that could eliminate the debt ceiling mess.

Yeah, it’s bronze but I don’t know what kind of internal framing it has. Probably a low grade steel tubing.

Now that would be funny. After pulling Lenin out of the sidewalk drag his @$$ down Aurora Ave. and exit off of the viaduct by the stadiums. Pull up to one of the scrap yards in the SoDo and see how much you could get for him! LOL!

Scrapyard clerk: Son, you gotta bronze statute of Lenin yer draggin’ behind ya.
Lenin thief: Yeah! How much can I get for him???? Hurry, recycle him quickly like Soylent Green!

This makes my day. I kind of like the Iraqi custom of throwing shoes at statues of political has-beens. Maybe the Russians could do something like that with the Marx statue.

Where did that happen? That could happen to the Seattle Lenin one day in the future! At least I can hope.
