Father Jonathan Morris discusses why the popular ministry, Campus Crusade for Christ, has changed its name to simply 'Cru.'
Here’s logic for you, people are turned off by the word ‘crusade’, so Campus Crusade for Christ makes that all better by eliminating Christ.
And Fr. Morris buys into it.

I think they’re assuming that “youth” are unable to assimilate any content beyond a single syllable. I’m just surprised they didn’t incorporate 2 or 4 as a preposition, or 8 as a syllable.

A few years ago, didn’t they change the name to Agape? On my campus, they did!!!

I watched this video, yikes. Never mind “cru”, what’s with the form-fitting yellow bimbo outfit? Last I remember, TV infobabes were looking rather desperate for attention, but sheesh. What’s she saying, Babylon or bust? Just the normal media “business” attire I suppose.
I don’t know which is worse, the “Look at me, I’m nearly naked!” outfit, or the priest sitting there mealy-mouthing PC blather instead of saying, “You are a beloved daughter of God, not a walking pair of breasts and a va-—. Put some clothes on and demand respect, for yourself and other women.”
I think he was trying avoid distraction, ugh. That dress looked spray-painted on. Used to be that those sorts of outfits were the kind that appeared under street lights.

There’s a time to avoid distraction, and a time to confront egregious provocation. I think this was the latter.
Almost all women on tv news seem to be there to show breasts and legs. Some of them, I’m sure, even the most “eager” men wish they would cover up, on “what has been seen can’t be Unseen” grounds ;-).
He should tell Fox that he won’t accept invitations to their studio until their women are properly clothed. These gals don’t even comprehend self-respect and dignity enough to be embarrassed.
They've been taught all their lives that getting men to feel lust is the greatest achievement to which they can aspire.

With that staring him in the face, it’s no wonder the priest erred on the side of not so good.
I have been harping for years about how the plunging necklines and thigh exposure on the Fox females is very unbusinesslike. There are many male viewers, I know, who are just fine with the exposure.
