I would have tended to agree with you but am no longer sure it doesn’t also include these instances. When these so called “images” are used to “prove” that the “images” illustrate the association of the individual, group, organization, or entity involved as “the one” who represents Christ it seems to me that it’s analogous to “here is Christ”.

We can also apply the following verses it seems to me.

“Why does this generation ask for a miraculous sign? I tell you the truth, no sign will be given to it” (Mark 8:12).

“An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah” (Matthew 12:39, 16:4).

I would also caution that the Anti Christ and the False Prophet will also use miracles.

The Holy Spirit can help you with that since he is inside of us. Through heavy prayer I can tell things myself. Like during Christmas time when all these Christmas internet radio has songs done by the Mormon tabernacle Choir I can tell that spirit is way off from the Holy Spirit. Even though they sing the words the spirit is wrong. They still do not believe 1John4 .

This miracle I am not convinced myself either.

Your statement has all the trappings of a cult. I have been set free by the Word of God, and by Christs death on the cross. I receive communion at my church, one is not saved by communion, nor by doing it in a certain way. I am set free from your enslavement. I belong to Christ. What good is the Eucharist going to do a person who receives it already, and belongs to Christ already? Do you think we are doing it wrong? And you are doing it right? and by doing so are saved? Oh how I praise God I am free from those like you.

Are you dismissing what Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians, then? If saying “bread” was good enough for the Apostle Paul, it’s good enough for me. Or do you disagree with what the Apostle Paul wrote? Did he mis-word his sentences accidentally? Was he imprecise?

How much Greek have you studied, by the way?

Gadel — you say that this photo “was circulating within [your] country.” Can you be specific? Did you get it from a website? If so, which one? Did you scan it from a newspaper, or a magazine? Or do you have a copy of the original photo?

Do you know the name of the person who took the photo? Do you know the date and precise location where it is supposed to have happened?

Is that where you got the story and photo from? If so, that’s not much of an “original source.”

From all accounts, there is no way to corroborate this story. And something this fantastic must be either verified with a preponderance of evidence, or discarded as urban legend. As someone who “is passionate about separating facts from fiction in this age of information chaos,” I’m surprised you aren’t more skeptical about this story.

After some research, it’s clear that this is a merging of an “ecce homo” painting and something else. This is an example of a 19th century ecce homo painting:

Note the expression, the eyebrows, long hair, and so on. It’s really not difficult to recreate this image from things you’ll find off the web.

Christ did not misspeak: nor was He imprecise.

Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this said, “This is a hard saying; who can hear it?”

Some of the disciples demurred at Christs words. Some of them left. But Christ did not 'walk back' His words. He meant what He said, and went on to reinforce what He said:

“Does this cause you to stumble? What then if you see the Son of Man ascending to where He was before? It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.

Paul does not dispute this, of course. From Corinthians:

The chalice of benediction, which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ ? And the bread, which we break, is it not the partaking of the body of the Lord?

Doubt no longer, but believe.
