Dear Salvation:
(for the prayer thread and I didn’t know how much detail I was supposed to give.)
I would like to request (beg) from all of you prayers for my father.
My dad, in a nutshell, developed prostate cancer about 8 years ago. Thankfully after surgery, he went into remission. After that, he had to continuously battle with various skin cancers like basil cell and squamous cell, one of which required major surgery on his neck, deforming his neck. Then, about six years ago, he developed a rare form of melanoma on his scalp (it wasn’t the usual melanoma mole) but an actual lump under his skin. They went in to remove it and the top of his head became disfigured. He then went on to have several reocurrences each requiring a surgery to remove the nodule. He then started an oral chemo which over time put his melanoma into remission. When we were all on the verge of rejoicing when a new cancer popped up, Merkel Cell Carcinoma. This cancer is a bastard, mean and aggressive. It first appeared on his chest, then to his chin (yes, another surgery, and more disfigurement), and the last we heard it spread to his liver, where there are “hundreds of nodules”. He is starting IV chemo tomorrow. My dad is 75, and has had about 20 surgeries so far. I talked to him over the weekend, and he was very depressed. He is asking all for prayer. We are asking for a miracle, and prayers for his immune system, i.e. red blood count, white blood count, platelets, etc.

This man has endured so much. Dear God we pray for diamond6 that You might extend to him your healing grace, let him know of Your love.

Lord, only You know why this man has had to suffer through all those surgeries. You are the God of mercy. Whatever this man has done wrong, please bring to the forefront, let him repent, and then please have mercy on him. Heal him, diamond6’s daddy, dear Lord. We give You praise for the healing. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Paul is certainly a fighter and a survivor. May the Lord grant him courage and strength to continue in that mode.

My husband died from malignant melanoma. He was a good and just man who kept his sins prayed up.
