Anglican Church house turned into a brothel

A house at the Anglican Church in Rugare is said to have been turned into a love nest. This comes amid speculation that the caretakers at the church site are offering lodging services to local prostitutes so that they can have 'quickies' in the Holy house.

Impeccable sources who stay near the church informed this paper that ladies of the night would use the church house as a love nest of having sexual contracts with their clients. "The house at Anglican Church is being used as a love nest and the caretakers (sic) are charging a fee for the service," said an H-Metro source.

"We are certain that this is happening because well known prostitutes in our area are coming to the church with different men from the bar and has been happening for some time now. Several prominent people are also coming with these prostitutes to the church house" said the sources.

"get thee to a nunnery" is a quote from Shakespeare's Hamlet Act 3, scene 1: Get thee to a nunn'ry, why woulds't thou be a breeder of sinners? --> Hamlet to Ophelia. But this is about Hamlet denying his love for Ophelia. Yes, there is the double-meaning of nunnery in Shakespeare's time (Queen Elizabeth I and the anti-monastery etc. hysteria of Henry 8 hadn't yet died down), BUT, a comic double-entendre, a very ribald one that too, in Hamlet is out of place, hence should be ruled out

don't indicate this double meaning that it gained 400 years later. the nun's priest's tale seems to be a fable and nothing ribald about that.

Evidently you can try to take the man out of the tribe, but find you cannot take the tribe out of the man. Every story I read about Africans makes me think that the people largely are unable to function in a Western world without Westerners guiding them. To plunk them down as Anglican priests without a Western Anglican priest really calling the shots is to encourage a sham Christianity.Whoever is the presiding Arch Bishop of this diocese of the Anglican Church, whether Rowan or the more orthodox African one, has got to realize that the African churches need more hands on oversight. What a blasphemous use of church property; it should not go unnoticed or unpunished.

If the entire article is read it seems quite possible that these were slanderous accusations by a rival faction. While such things certainly have happened, it may not be the case here. We all know how the papers try to smear anything that has any relationship with Christianity.

Any so-called church whose founding is based on a king’s sexual appetite and/or a requirement that the queen produce a male heir is, by definition, unholy.

there is a schism in the Zimbabwean Anglican church: The dictator Mugabe is behind it. The self declared "bishop" is a friend of Mugabe, and has taken over the church over the opposition of those actually appointed as bishop and approved by Rowan...his thugs have even locked some of the dissenting churches, to keep out worshipers, and harassed these worshippers.

And you don’t know much about the history of Western Civilization which gets its start with the Greeks and its impetus from Christianity. Christianity is the backbone of western civilization. Western civilization is not synonymous with Northern Europe, it encompasses all of Europe, America and westernized countries like Turkey. I may not know all that much about Africans but I do know that most of them retain a tribal nature even when they boast about being Anglican priests. I feel that many countries that became independent after World War II ought to have remained colonies of European nations.
