We must fight back.
Urgent petition: Keep the Cross at Ground Zero
A group called American Atheists is suing to get the World Trade Center Cross removed from the 9-11 Memorial and Museum in New York City.
Shortly after the Sept. 11 attacks, a construction worker found the Cross-shaped beams in the rubble of the World Trade Center. Immediately, the steel Cross became a powerful sign of hope for those who lost family members on Sept. 11, and for every American who loves God.
Now this beloved symbol is under attack from American Atheists. They are suing to get it removed! This must not happen. It would be a major sin and act of ingratitude to God to allow this Cross to be removed.
That's why TFP Student Action invites you to sign the:
Urgent petition: Keep the Cross at Ground Zero
Your signed petition will be sent to The National 9-11 Memorial & Museum at the World Trade Center and to American Atheists. Your participation in this urgent petition to keep the Holy Cross will have two immediate consequences:
Tell them to go to Hell!
But they would be fine with a Crescent.
Is there anyway we can sue to have atheists removed from ground zero? (this crap is making me sick)
You don't have to tell them, they know the way and are on that road already.
Why do their religious beliefs take precedence?
If the Atheists win , the government is establishing Atheism as the governments religious belief.
I’ll say it again, I find atheists offensive and I demand the govt. remove them IMMEDIATELY!
Do you think the ACLU will help?/s
The atheist religious belief system is represented.
It’s the empty space next to the Cross.
I wonder how many of these so called “atheists” would have been praying if they had been in either of the WTCT when they fell?
.
Come on Paleo,
They’re atheists, they’re already going to hell.
Hey, atheists. Eat sh*t and die. Here’s a message to everyone sick of the militant atheists: “Let’s take these sons-of-bitches out.”
I”m sick of extremists trying to destroy every good and decent thing in America. Time to take them on and wipe them out.
>Why do their religious beliefs take precedence?<
.
For the same reasons that the beliefs of gays and environmentalists have taken precedence over what was heretofore the American norm — the promulgation of socialism/communism as imposed by the democrats.
Here’s what I don’t understand. If you are an atheist, aren’t the beams merely debris that was recovered at ground zero. The only significance it has is to religious people. For example, if I see a tree, I don’t demand it be removed because some druid worships it. To me, it’s just a tree.
Call me naive, but I just don’t understand how the cross being there hurts these people in any way.
It’s amazing how offended they are by something they don’t believe in.
You took the word right out of my mouth! I am so sick of this crap!
They live miserable lives and want to make yours miserable too.
I hate American Atheists that cannot be happy just being American, they have to push their agenda.
The good thing about them is when they die they do not have an after life they just get dirt in their faces and the worms eat them.
And you would be correct, as far as most of us atheists would be concerned. You should bear in mind that these few are not representative of all "American Atheists", they are, in fact, just a small group of loud-mouthed bozos trying to force a square peg into a round hole.
As a life long atheist, I have always made it a point to try and be respectful of others beliefs, even moreso than others would be of mine. Just to mention my beliefs drives my mother absolutely insane. I can't count the number of christian yoyo's that have insisted on trying to convert me to whatever twisted faction of christianity they believe in order to save "my soul", but I just politely remove myself from the confrontation as I would with any other crazy person, and go quietly about my life. Occasionally I'll meet someone who isn't sure of what they believe and if they ask me nicely, I'll tell them a bit about what I think, but mostly I'm not in the business of making converts as so many others are, I just want to live in peace, in my own weird little way.
P.S. Oh yeah, You all should fight these idiots for as long as it takes. Anyone that is a true atheist doesn’t feel diminished by you putting a cross somewhere. Most of us just don’t really mind, one way or the other.
I thought the restrooms were the representation of the atheist beliefs:
Today, eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow you’re dead and buried.
