Although Musuri was already serving the Lord as a Gospel for Asia-supported missionary, he had a dream: to reach out to the extremely isolated people group that lived near his home.
So one day, Musuri decided to make the trip into the forest and meet some of the people. What he found there broke his heart.
The forest men made their living hunting or fishing. Almost no one in their community had learned to read, and the few who received a little bit of education still lacked the opportunity to find a good job. This isolated group of people seemed trapped in their primitive way of life forever. And no one there knew Jesus. Musuri was filled with compassion seeing the physical and spiritual condition of the people.
During Pastor Musuris visit, many people came out to hear him. They were interested in hearing what Musuri said about Jesus, but they were timid in making the choice to follow Him.
As Musuri walked back home through the forest that night, he decided that with the Lords help, he would do everything he could to show these people how they could know Gods love for themselves.
And the Lord did help him. The next time Musuri returned, he met a family of five who were very strong in their religious beliefs, but they had a problem. The oldest son in the family, Ebi, was ill and had been sick for three long months. When Musuri shared that Jesus could both heal his sickness and save him eternally, Ebi decided right then that he wanted to follow this Jesus.
Musuri began praying for Ebi, and the Lord healed him that day. The rest of the family saw Gods healing power and chose to follow Him, too.
Now, Pastor Musuri says he is so grateful to the Lord for making his dream come truehe leads a small fellowship among the people in the forest. He requests prayer that many more people will come to know the Lord through His great works in their village.

NT Christianity in action.
Amen!
It reminds me of 2 things . . .
The Albuquerque organization FAITH COMES BY HEARING

that gives out “Proclaimers” to tribal groups . . . windup MP3 players with the Bible in their language orally . . . given to “THE MAN OF PEACE” of the tribe . . . who agrees to play it for 30 min once a week to the group . . . with 30 min of discussion. Just the plain Scriptures.
SPONTANEOUSLY at Holy Spirit’s doing—authentic New Testament Acts 2 churches spring up where
as John Wimber would likely say . . .
they hear THE WORD and simply follow THE WORD and ‘DO THE STUFF’ Jesus did.
And God confirms it with signs following—healings, deliverance from demons etc.
No hierarchy.
No complex ‘semitary’ theology.
No educatedl-beyond-horse-sense idiots telling them it “can’t happen in this era.”
Just plain oral Scripture applied in their daily lives . . . as God intended.

One group I love being able to donate to is Wycliffe Bible Translators. They send missionaries into the most remote areas to translate the Scriptures for people. It's hard to believe there are still tribal groups that have not heard, let alone read, The Gospel.
And God confirms it with signs followinghealings, deliverance from demons etc.
I am very fortunate that there is a seminary associated with the church I attend and we are large enough to be able to support a lot of missionaries. We have people come and give reports from the mission field and the miraculous things that God is doing are incredible. In the west we are conditioned to discount the supernatural but that doesn't mean these things aren't occurring.
INDEED. PRAISE GOD.
In China, when I was there . . .
One could almost detect the distance FROM a Semitary by the degree of miracles in the lives of the Christians.
The further from the Semitary, the MORE AND GREATER the miracles.
I’m sure God enjoyed that—from one perspective—and was saddened about it from another.
. . . the foolish things of God to confound the wise . . .
Thanks, praise the Lord!
