Secondly, I have studied Temple Service & the Yom Kippur Red Heifer sacrifice for atonement for sin from the Temple Institute and this specific sacrifice was not done in the Temple. Yah’shua died on a tree on the Mt of Olives, not a cross at what ever location Christianity says he died. Also, Yah’shua shed blood & water when the Roman soldier pierced his side so this theory of suffocation only is quite misleading.
If you want to midrash doctrine, I suggest you at least study it first or go to the Temple Institute and copy & paste from there when speaking of Orthodox Jewish Temple services & sacrifices. Might I also suggest you get a copy of David Stern's Complete Jewish Bible in English? There are still errors in translation that he missed as well as some that show his orthodox roots, but for the most part, it is the most reliable modern version of the Scriptures I have found.
Sorry FRiend..I simply used the online NASB which happens to be cross referenced thoroughly. Hebrews 1 asserts father and his son....but when you check the Tanach quoted in the text...it says nothing about a father and HIS son. It refers to Solomon, or David or Israel. Therefore, Hebrews is flawed.
Red Heifer sacrifice for atonement for sin
Red Heifer was for purifying people who had touched a corpse...Matt, Mark and John all say he was killed at Golgotha...and Jesus was dead before...the roman stabbed him with the spear. The Cross is a suffocation machine...from a Christian site:
the mechanism of death in crucifixion was suffocation. To breathe, the victim was forced to push up on his feet to allow for inflation of the lungs. As the body weakened and pain in the feet and legs became unbearable, the victim was forced to trade breathing for pain and exhaustion. Eventually, the victim would succumb in this way, becoming utterly exhausted or lapsing into unconsciousness so that he could no longer lift his body off the stipes and inflate his lungs. Due to the shallow breathing, the victims lungs would begin to collapse in areas, probably causing hypoxia.
Hence, not a blood sacrifice. He suffocated. If you suffocated say....a ram. He would no longer be acceptable as a sacrifice. The sacrifice would be treif. No good. Nor was his body burned as a red heifer, his ashes not mixed with water and sprinkled with hyssop..
I usually avoid midrash when engaging in polemics. The only thing that matters is P'shat.
BTW, I wasnt expecting that you would respond line by line...Shalom....
